Notes: Article (Transcribed by Paul McRandle):
Psychic TV, who seem to make a habit of tearing up deals as soon as they're made, announced this week that they've left their label Some Bizzarre.

Mainman Genesis P-Orridge told Sounds: "Stevo always said that anyone who wanted to leave could go anytime they liked, but it took me ages to get a letter from him confirming that we were free."

After a series of 'off the record' horror stories about the state of Some Bizarre, P-Orridge said: "I don't want to get into a slanging match, it's pointless . . . and Some Bizzarre were very keen for me to say that we were on good terms with them and were totally happy with all they'd done for us! I mean, if you're happy with a company you don't leave, do you? But OK . . . Psychic TV are really pleased with Some Bizzarre and we think they're really, really wonderful. That's why we're delighted to be leaving!"

The reason for the split seems to be general unhappiness with the wacky way Stevo conducted his deal-getting. PTV suggested that they felt he'd worn out his welcome in the biz and that he should have taken one of the large cash offers which they say was offered for their last LP, 'Dreams Less Sweet', which eventually went to CBS in a grand-slam deal which, the group say, netted them very little in hard financial terms.

PTV have now joined and left three companies: WEA, CBS and now Some Bizzarre, which had been their parent label for the other two label deals.
