SELF-PORTRAIT: THE POWER OF VULNERABILITY -- [Highly fantasized self-portraits as battered and broken bodied, these images stir feelings of discomfort in the viewer, which serve to empower Daniel as the artist. Though in these images he appears helpless and vulnerable, it is the act of exhibitionism on his behalf, which, as it disturbs the audience into a submissive state, generates an immediate dominance of the artist over the viewer.]

CHERRY: A TRANSSEXUAL PHOTODOCUMENTARY -- [A photodocumentary on New Orleans' local trannie star, Cherry, who after taking hormones for six years, held a party called TASTE CHERRY where she raised nearly $4,000 for "Ms. Thing's Gender Re-Assignment." In November of 2002, the proceeds from this function (which Cherry knick-named the GASH BASH in honor of her soon-to-be vagina) went to the removal of her testicles--making her once step closer to being fully female. This March 18, 2003, is the final benefit for her womanhood, GASH BASH II, which is to take place at the Shim Sham Club, 615 Toulouse St. in New Orleans. Doors @ 9pm, $10 donation at the door. A special exhibition of this photodocumentary will be shown.]
