SELF-PORTRAIT: THE POWER OF VULNERABILITY

[Highly fantasized self-portraits as battered and broken bodied, these images stir feelings of discomfort in the viewer, which serve to empower Daniel as the artist. Though in these images he appears helpless and vulnerable, it is the act of exhibitionism on his behalf, which, as it disturbs the audience into a submissive state, generates an immediate dominance of the artist over the viewer.

These images were part of a group photography exhibition in February, 2003, at the Diboll Gallery in New Orleans.

These photographs are printed in a small edition of 7. They are for sale for $125/each or $400/set of four.]
