Farewell, Milky Way (Legendary Pink Dots)

Well, I got this one yesterday and listened to it just once so take it as
the concert review. Although Live At The Metro is a very good CD (Green Gang
and Andromeda are just amazing), this is much more closer to the Pink Dots
stage wizzardy.

A Crack In Melancholy Time

A good opener, but way too long. This song doesn't have to be seven minutes
long (the studio version is 5:35 including a lovely outro I miss here).
Good drum work.

On Another Shore

Shorter than studio, perfect bass, drums and flute. Unfortuntelly, Edward's
voice is not as smooth as it should be. But maybe it's not the song but me:
this one is in my Pink Dots Top 10.

Vigil Anti
Very nice version.

Love In A Plain Brown Envelope.

This remake is great! I fell in love with the snakecrawling saxophone howls
that keep the song even more together.

9 Shades To The Circle

The highlight. This is the reason to buy Milky Way! Different lyrics with a
beautiful story of a frog, highway and explosions. When being told, music
gets really heavyweight.

Demolition 13

I love it on the concerts, I love it here.

Bella D
Nice version of a great song. Very mellow, including amazing sounds.

Needles

Voices and electronics in the first part are very close to he studio
version, then the band starts to play and makes it work even better.
Another highlight.

Space Captain
A very very smooth end. Nice "Melancholy Time-ish" outro. You can be
anything...

Well, this is a great one. I'm just curious if this is the whole show; if
yes, it's too short.
