Legendary Pink Box (Legendary Pink Dots)

Issued originally by PIAS on vinyl in 1989 and then on CD in 1991, The
Legendary Pink Box represents an LPD career retrospective, but instead of
featuring a hodgepodge of album tracks like Stone Circles, the Box gathers
up three albums (two CDs) worth of previously unreleased material. Ten
tracks are new recordings of early cassette-only tracks. Eleven tracks are
actually some of those old (1981-1983) cassette-only recordings, like those
on the recent Prayer For Aradia, Under Triple Moons, and Stained Glass Soma
Fountains compilations. Additionally, three tracks are brand-new studio
pieces, including the stellar "Premonition 13" which could very well be the
best LPD track ever and often appears as the grand encore for the Dots in
concert.
