4/16/08: APRIL 2008 UPDATE
LEGENDARY PINK DOTS ON TOUR
Spring began in The Netherlands with a flurry of snow, pelting hail and gremlins chewing the wires at Chez Dots. The heart of our studio was temporarily broken as the hard drives crashed in our both recording machine and our back-up device and for a few tense hours it looked as if we had LOST our work since the start of the year. Happily , all has been retrieved and the new album, "Plutonium Blonde" will be released on schedule by ROIR in the summer. That's not the only activity. The Silverman's latest album "(Blank) for your own message" will be available from TEKA this week, while Edward Ka-Spel just put the finishing touches to "Dream Logik 2". For those who wait for the first Dream Logik volume to appear on vinyl, plans are being hatched at Beta Lactam Ring Records for an extremely special and desirable release. Keep you ear to the ground about this. A new Tear Garden album is also in the works while LPDs long lost album "Chemical Playschool Volumes 8/9" is also set for a reissue in the next months. Here is the latest tour information:
* We are always looking for new places to play. We are especially looking for shows on the way to and from Norrkopping on 27 August and around the Munich show on 18 September. If anyone has other venue suggestions or information, please forward to l_khata at yahoo.com.
NEW RELEASES * Order from the TEKA Catalogue! * LPD are currently working on a new album which is due in Spring 2008. The band is currently road-testing songs from this album. * Recently released is a truly excellent DVD ("Roundhouse") from long term LPD friends, The Dresden Dolls documenting a special live event at the London Roundhouse in 2006. BEAUTIFUL THINGS THAT CAME OUR WAY The John Moran Corporation
Un Festin Sagital: Epitafio a la Permanencia Imagine Christian Vander and Pierre Henry collaborating on a lost masterpiece when they were both at the peaks of their powers... Imagine the master tape turning up in Chile... Imagine it's reputation preceded it and turned out to be EVEN BETTER. Un Festin Sagital is a group I'd never heard of before, but I reckon I'll spend the next few years hearing them again and again such is the depth of this debut.Purchase from www.blrrecords.com now before it vanishes.
