TheDrift, fellow musicians on the Temporary Residence roster, have a limited 12" vinyl single out shortly featuring remixes by Four Tet and Sybarite. Two tracks from The Drift's debut 2005 'Noumena' album appear here in revamped versions. Sybarite remixes the song 'Invisible Cities' while Four Tet tackles 'Gardening, Not Architecture'. The official release date is July 24 but the cool kids are ordering it right now from the Temporary Residence site for only $8.00 in the USA.

Longtime Sybarite supporter Brainwashed has been invited to curate a night for Pop Montreal, the first weekend in October. The Brainwashed night will take place at La Sala Rossa on Friday, October 6th. On the schedule that night is the lovely Jessica Bailiff, the new "band" formation of Sybarite, and the undisputable Keith Fullerton Whitman. Before, after, and between performances will be a special Brainwashed music video show on a big screen with big sound.

The grass is growing - and the fig tree has leaves again. In time for the fruit to ripen - a new record will be out in October called 'Cut Out Shape'. I've posted info about it on my attempt-at-a-blog at my MySpace page. I'll continue to add more info there & here as it gets closer.

And if you're interested - I found a box of the '+' ep that Temporary Residence released as part of it's Travels in Constants mail-order-only series. If anyone wants one you can drop me a message & I can send you my paypal info - they're $10 incl. shipping to the US, $12 incl. shipping to the rest of the world.
