'Sadly, the future is no longer what is was' are a trilogy of releases by Leyland Kirby.
Here we have the first installment pressed on double vinyl, cut and mastered by Lupo at the legendary Dubplates and Mastering here in Berlin.
This release is housed in a sleeve designed by exiled Mancunian Ivan Seal with full colour artwork throughout.
It could be said it's
about the the fragility of existence and about those times when we pace the streets for answers when the ground under our feet is not so stable.
Those times when we feel invisible to all those around us as we continue to walk, searching for signals and connections, at a loss to our situation and looking for a new pathway forward.
As a document it's emotional and personal, heartbreaking and gentle, it's a six month fairy tale from the big city complete with heroes and villains, with winners and losers.
