AUGUST, DAVID Hymns LP
David August's most expansive, ambitious album to date, the Italian-German composer and producer lets his vast sonic universe collapse, rediscovering in its wake an instrument that's been a constant presence in his life. Hymns is a deeply personal set of candid piano-led reflections that tell a simpler but far more distinctive story; rather than concentrate on the life cycle of humanity and civilization, August narrows his field of vision, tracing his own background and reasserting his relationship with a musical language he'd tried hard to unlearn. An intimate, instinctual album that emerged from isolation and contemplation, Hymns is also a surprisingly hopeful suite of soft hued, evocative improvisations that well up from the depths of the soul. In August's own words, "it should recall light, not darkness."

WORK MONEY DEATH A Portal to Here CD
ATA Records present the new release by Work Money Death, A Portal to Here. This album continues WMD's exploration of spiritual jazz and the sounds and styles that evolved out of the '60s New Thing, particularly the recordings of Alice Coltrane and Pharaoh Sanders. The first WMD album released since the tragic death of ATA guitarist Chris Earl Dawkins in early 2025, all four tracks reference the journey that band members and the studio have been on -- in many ways this record is a testament and tribute to Chris, his musicality and creativity. Featuring WMD stalwarts Tony Burkill, Neil Innes, Sam Hobbs, and Sam Bell, the album introduces Sorcerers keyboardist Johnny Richards to the WMD sound. Richards brings a fresh new take to the piano role here, drawing on what is clearly a broad knowledge of jazz history and channeling that through his own unique 21st century musical perspective. The album also features contributions from Alice Roberts on harp, bringing the spirit of Alice Coltrane, Ben Powling on baritone saxophone, Richard Ormrod on woodwind, and Kev Holbrough and Steve Parry on brass. Those Sun Ra-esque horn sections lift the mood whenever they appear. Standout tracks are the second, "Dance of the Spirits," with a strong core of "Baptism and The Blues" and some lovely playing by Richards, and the third track, "Brother Earl," which begins with Tony on flute over rhythms that are directly reminiscent of open-hearted, late-'60s spirituality. A Portal to Here is a stunning addition to the WMD catalogue and a clear statement that the band continues to create and produce, whatever life throws its way.

HALO, LAUREL Midnight Zone (Original Soundtrack) CD
Laurel Halo returns with an album of original soundtrack music, composed for the film Midnight Zone by visual artist Julian Charri?re. Following the path of a drifting Fresnel lighthouse lens as it descends through the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone -- a remote abyssal plain in the Pacific Ocean, rich in rare metals and increasingly targeted for deep-sea mining -- the film traces a descent into one of Earth's last untouched ecosystems. Charri?re's film reveals the deep not as void, but as a luminous biome teeming with fragile life: bioluminescent creatures, swirling schools of fish, and elusive predators. The suspended lens becomes an abyssal campfire, attracting species caught in the tides of uncertainty, their futures hanging in the balance. Echoing this tension, Halo's compositions evoke a sensory freefall, where gravity falters and light and sound flicker in uncertain rhythms. Midnight Zone is a sonic drift through the space between what we seek to extract, fail to understand, and must protect. Halo's score evokes the life that exists beyond a physical airbound capacity. The material features long, subtle passages of electro-acoustic ambient, drone and sound design, slowly flowing and unfolding with rich detail. The music, composed largely on a Montage 8 synthesizer and Yamaha TransAcoustic piano at the Yamaha studios in New York City, possesses an uncanny quality: that of synthetic waveforms being amplified and sung through the stringboard of the physical body of the TransAcoustic piano. Combined with stacks of violin and viol da gamba, the music on Midnight Zone possesses trace elements of a human hand in an otherwise sunken landscape. Patient, submerged, and alive. The album will be the third on Halo's imprint, Awe. The film is central to Charri?re's current solo exhibition Midnight Zone. The exhibition engages with underwater ecologies, exploring the complexity of water as an elemental medium affected by anthropogenic degradation. Reflecting upon its flow and materiality, profundity and politics, its mundane and sacral dimensions, the solo show acts as a kaleidoscope, inviting us to dive deep.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP IV Of Cups LP
The deservedly hyped Thought Leadership returns with another X ideas: the deck this time chooses the suit of Cups. This new collection is closer to the post-punk tonality of Pentacles, than the breezy Balearic jazz of Swords. Gone are the brushed drum samples and airy synths and in their place are BIG guitars, 808 thumps and a decidedly more prominent use of bass as a melodic device. As the suit of Cups reflects the emotional heart of the Tarot, presented within are a further ten pieces, this time displaying the full range and fervor of Thought Leadership. Originally out on cassette only, Be With presents the first ever vinyl issue. It's a hideously limited pressing of 300 for the world, so don't sleep on this. Side A explores the emotional levels of consciousness; angst, joy, love, sorrow, relief, regret -- they are all represented across the first seven tracks, and often within the same piece. Side B again takes the listener on a trip through three long-form semi-improvised pieces. Unadulterated aural nostalgia for hours spent with a PS1 in haze of hash. Beautifully dreamy, undeniably soundtrack-y, and arguably the most concise distillation so far of everything this project stands for; drum machines, guitars, pedals, one-take improvised solos. The first ever vinyl release of IV Of Cups has been carefully remastered by Be With's engineer Simon Francis to ensure it sounds better than ever after its initial tape release. Cicely Balston's expert skills have made sure nothing is lost in the cut at Abbey Road Studios whilst the records have been pressed to the highest possible standard at Record Industry, in Holland. The original tape cover artwork, so crucial to Thought Leadership's striking visual aesthetic, has been rejigged for vinyl issue here at Be With.

MORRICONE, ENNIO Il Mio Nome E' Nessuno CD
Beat Records presents a reissue of Ennio Morricone's score for the cult western My Name Is Nobody, directed in 1973 by Tonino Valerii and starring Terence Hill, Henry Fonda, Leo Gordon, Jean Martin, Geoffrey Lewis, Piero Lulli, Benito Stefanelli, R.G. Armstrong, Alexander Allerson, Franco Angrisano, Mario Brega, Marc Mazza, Remus Peets, and Antoine Saint John. Ennio Morricone composed one of the soundtracks most beloved by his fans around the world, using elements typical of his genius, such as Alessandro Alessandroni's whistling, the voice of Edda Dell'Orso (and many other highly esteemed soloists), but also mixed with some sonic innovations, such as in "Mucchio Selvaggio," where the composer even ventures to include Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries." This CD was created using the stereo/mono masters of the original session, with a total running time of 74:21. Mastering by Claudio Fuiano, production notes by Andrea Morandi, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.

MILLIONS OF DEAD COPS Millions Of Dead Cops: Millennium Edition CD
"Millions of Dead Cops is the first iconic, full-length classic record by M.D.C. This was first released in 1981 and quickly became an overnight sensation. Not only did M.D.C. deliver a record full of fast intense music, but this record would influence 1000's of hardcore/punk and bands of political nature to this day. The corruption of cops! Greed of corporations! Racism! The fact that not all people were the same, but so what -- that's OK! Are all addressed in this groundbreaking album. Many of these issues were quite taboo at the time and had not been addressed to this degree in punk before. Round it all off with this being fully restored and re mastered with the original mix. You have a definite must-have album!"

GUSTAFSSON & KJETIL MOSTER DUO, MATS Nanaimo Swing LP
"The residents of Scandinavia and those of coastal regions of Canada have more than a few commonalities. For one thing, they love seafood as well as the act of gathering it. And while this briny lust was not the sole rationale behind this, Mats Gustafsson's third visit to the city of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island off the coast of British Columbia, I am certain it was on his mind. After all, his second visit to the city, with his band Fire!, was designed around a fishing trip envisioned by promoter/label head Jack Tieleman as a sure way to lure those salmon-hungry Swedes to town. That such a gambit was not conjured up again must mean that either Kjetil Moster (a Norwegian rather than Swedish musician) had no overwhelming lust for fin or that their schedule was just too tight. I have asked about this several times, and the lack of response makes me wonder if it is a touchy topic. Maybe there's some kind of law against anti-piscatorial activity in Norway, so things have to be kept hush-hush. But that's just a guess. Regardless, this duo LP is totally great, savage and funny in equal measures. Whether there's sea salt on his lips or not, Mats is one of the great saxophonists of his generation, playing everything from traditional post-bop sax to explosive experimental electronics and many many things in between. The other half of the duo, Kjetil Moster, plays with Mats in a wild quintet called The End, and has a vast array of other projects and ensembles with whom he plays and records. Together, they form and exciting unit, employing a vast array of techniques (freaky and otherwise) to create music ranging from elegantly floating reed interactions to full-on fire music form-tussles. The music at times recalls everything from Eric Dolphy's backyard birdcall practice to rusty electronics worthy of Lasse Marhaug. That Mats and Kjetil are able to flow back and forth between such distant poles during their first-ever appearance as a duo speaks to an excellence in communication as well as lightning-fast response time. It is a gas and a blast from start to finish. How I wish I'd been there!" --Byron Coley

VA Leve Leve Vol. 2: Sao Tome & Principe Sounds 70s-80s CD
Following L?ve L?ve Vol. 1, this second volume continues a long-term exploration of the popular music of S?o Tom? and Pr?ncipe, with a clear focus on rhythm, movement and dancefloor energy. Curated by Tom B., L?ve L?ve Vol. 2 brings together emblematic recordings from the 1970s and 1980s, carefully restored and remastered, designed as much for close listening as for DJ use. The compilation deepens and completes the first volume by returning to key groups such as Sangazuza, Conjunto Equador, Africa Negra, and Pedro Lima, while also unveiling previously unreleased or hard-to-find tracks. Across the record, puxa and socop? rhythms unfold with remarkable intensity, capturing these bands at the height of their powers: tight arrangements, driving grooves and a strong sense of collective momentum. Beyond celebration, L?ve L?ve Vol. 2 also reflects a precise cultural and political context. Several songs reference Luso-African independence struggles, spirituality, love and everyday life, anchoring this music in a history shaped by resistance, circulation and hybridization. Recorded in S?o Tom?, Luanda or Lisbon -- often with the involvement of key figures from the Lusophone diaspora -- these tracks reveal a modern musical landscape that has long remained under-documented. Conceived as a living record rather than a static archival object, this compilation speaks equally to DJs and curious listeners. It once again affirms Bongo Joe's approach: bringing powerful, popular and complex music back into circulation, without nostalgia or exoticism, and making it fully present today. Also featuring Sum Alvarinho, Tiny das Neves e Conjunto Sol d'?frica, Conjunto Mindelo, Bulaw? N'Guli Fala, Quinta das Palmeiras, and Os ?ntu?s.

OMARI, ABDOU EL Lost Tape - 1980 CD
Abdou El Omari was born in 1945 in Tafraout, south of Agadir -- a village suspended between the pink granite peaks of the Anti-Atlas and the waves of the Atlantic. A landscape already musical in itself. He grew up in the dry mountain light, surrounded by the rhythms of nature and Berber's culture. Very little is known about the man -- a veil of mystery still surrounds his life, only deepening the fascination. In the 1970s, as Morocco was transforming, Abdou El Omari shaped a sound of his own -- a visionary blend of spiritual jazz, psychedelic funk, Moroccan traditions, and early electronic experimentation. Today, his work is resurfacing, rediscovered by a new generation of listeners in search of lost horizons. This record stands among its rarest and most precious fragments. At twenty-two, he founded his first group, Les Fugitifs, which gained him local fame. Soon after, he released records and cassettes on labels such as Cl?op?tre, Hassania, Boussiphone, Hilali, and his own, Al Awtar, while performing on RTM (national radio and television). He also composed for artists like Naima Samih, Laila Ghofran, and Aicha El Waad. In 1976, through the label Gam, he released his only vinyl album, Nuits d'?t? -- a record that would become cult decades later, reissued in 2017 by Radio Martiko. In the 1980s, his music grew quieter, more secret. He tried to recover his old tapes from the studios he had recorded in, but gradually withdrew from the scene and returned to hairdressing. A pioneer of musical fusion, he opened paths that would remain unexplored for years. He passed away in 2010, never witnessing the rediscovery of his music by diggers, bloggers, and collectors online. One day, his close friend and poet Aziz Essamadi, rescued a cardboard box from the trash -- a box containing Abdou El Omari's personal archives. It was later entrusted to Casablanca based collector Ahmed Khalil, founder of the label Dikraphone. Inside were treasures preserved by chance: demos, rehearsals, private recordings, unseen photographs -- and a stunning, almost forgotten cassette. Here, El Omari sounds bolder than ever, exploring territories where pop, cosmic disco, electric blues, and Moroccan tradition merge without boundaries. Armed with his ARP Odyssey synthesizer, hypnotic grooves, and the celestial layers of his Farfisa, he expanded the dialogue between deep roots and electronic exploration. This album is the continuation of a vision -- a music of the Moroccan future: rooted, but reaching for the unknown. Colorful, magnetic and timeless, here is music for dancing as much as for dreaming.

ILE DE GARDE Rage Blossom LP
Ile de Garde isn't just a clever pun paying homage to the blessed German mystic and jack-of-all-trades, Hildegarde Von Bingen. It's the name chosen by three women freshly signed to Born Bad/Carpaccio Cath?drale, who came bearing gifts: six synth-wave tracks based on a drum/keyboard/spoken word line-up. It won't be for everyone, and that's just as well. More of a narrator than a singer, Klara Coudrais performs the lyrics, embodies characters, and puts on a show, in French and in English. Controlled and clinical anger, putting facts in order, whether it's settling scores with some violent bloke or scrutinize a couple on the path to a breakup -- Sylvia Plath meets Diamanda Gal?s, heckling the audience gently. It sometimes flirts with singing, with reinforcement coming up as backing vocals. Neither John nor Karen Carpenter, C?cile Aur?gan layers synths to produce dense, enveloping soundscapes. It's a full starter-main-dessert, but the trio has a strong stomach. Morgane Poulain peacefully taps away at her drums. Track after track, no-frills post-post punk for your ears, with a few surprises. Ile de Garde takes the floor, body-wise. Rage Blossom is a beginning, and you have to be there.

LP version. Almost seven years after their last release, numerous international tours, and winning the award for Best Band at the first edition of the German Jazz Awards 2021, PHILM is releasing two new albums. 2024 was recorded in an old Berlin cinema, the Zentrifuge. In search of "their own rhythmic mantras," as Philipp Gropper explains, strange, multi-layered grooves and unfamiliar sounds. Catapulted into strange worlds by Gropper's compositions, PHILM is concerned with the emotional content of these grooves and navigating them together. This adventurous atmosphere in the room and the interpersonal interplay leave their mark on the sound. Because that's exactly what PHILM is all about: a band that's not about outdoing each other with solos, but about finding a shared musical language, creating together, like an interlocking sound machine.

The two pieces "no words" I and II are good examples of this, dealing with the bewilderment and horror in the face of current crises, wars, and the repeatedly destructive role of the global North. Between dissonance and beauty, a wide range of emotions opens up. YOU Time Code LP
2026 restock. LP version on 180 gram vinyl. The Bureau B label reissues You's Time Code, first released in 1983 on Rock City Records. As synthesizers grew more popular from the mid-'70s onwards, an increasing number of groups swapped the classic instruments of a rock band for sequencers and synthesizers. Pioneers (and paragons) of this electronically-created music included, of course, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Manuel G?ttsching et al, who represent the "Berliner Schule" (in contrast to the D?sseldorfer Schule which developed around Kraftwerk and company). A hitherto less celebrated, yet outstanding exponent of the Berliner Schule was the Krefeld combo YOU (Udo Hanten, Albin Meskes). Their debut album Electric Day immediately launched YOU into the elite echelon of Germany's electronic music scene. It would take four years for them to deliver their sophomore LP, entitled Time Code. If Electric Day was characterized by Harald Grosskopf's pulsating drums and Uli Weber's solo guitar, Time Code emerged as an altogether more electronic affair, with both Grosskopf and Weber having left the project. Reduced to a duo, YOU largely remained faithful to their style, but expanded upon it. Time Code displays more range and variation than its predecessor. Downtempo and faster numbers alternate and sugar-sweet melodies are followed by expanses of ominously dark or crystal-clear synthesizers. Hanten and Meskes' new sound was further refined by the use of drum computers and the omission of guitar. The album perfectly illustrates the transition of electronic music from the 1970s to the 1980s. Sequencer patterns owe much to the legacy of the Berlin School (Berliner Schule), while the synthesizer and drum computer sounds heralded the advent of the new decade. The level of interest and excitement was particularly high in Italy, where songs from the album featured heavily on the radio. Listeners were clearly impressed by "Live Line," which has resurfaced in various techno productions over the past 20 years, either as a cover (by Diolac Duvai, for example), or as "Elektro Message" (by Gigi D'Agostino).

The official Konrad Schnitzler discography lists Eruption, released in 1971, under the title Schwarz, as the first Schnitzler album. In actual fact, Eruption is the third and final LP by the group Kluster, following Klopfzeichen (BB 110CD/LP) and Zwei Osterei (BB 111CD/LP). The line-up printed on the labels leaves no room for doubt. Unlike the two previous albums, Eruption was not issued by the Schwann Verlag, but by the band on its own, hence the task of financing the record fell to the participants. Roedelius and Moebius, however, were either unable or unwilling to get involved in this risky business. Without further ado, Schnitzler decided to cover the cost of pressing up 200 LPs which he would bring out under his own name. This historical "error" has now been corrected: Eruption is a Kluster album. Seen alongside Klopfzeichen and Zwei Osterei, Eruption is a different beast altogether. The total absence of lyrics, to begin with; the music is music, nothing more. The listener revels in a pure symphony of sound, its dramatic artistry holding his attention until the very end. And that is the second major difference to the first two LPs. Whereas their furious intensity sounded almost brutally improvised, Eruption appears clearly structured throughout, musical freedoms notwithstanding. Kluster take their time in developing spontaneous ideas here, they get loud and then, for lengthier periods, go quiet, suggesting at times a sense of absolute emptiness, followed by outbreaks of dark anger. The possibilities opened up by live electronics were thrillingly exploited to the limit. And yet there is undeniably a method in the music. In the course of their many live concerts, Kluster had learned to use instruments and electronics constructively, reaching the zenith of their musical powers of expression on Eruption. Kluster disbanded after Eruption. The album is a revealing document of a band striving to stretch the musical spectrum during the early 1970s, and indeed, how capable they were of doing so. Moebius and Roedelius went on working together as Cluster, and Conrad Schnitzler (now with a C) began developing his own vision of electronic music, a project he continued assiduously until his death (2011). Still, all three had their roots in Kluster -- incredibly powerful roots. And Kluster have never ceased to be hugely fertile ground. May their creative inspiration never run dry.

DINGER, THOMAS Fur mich LP
2026 restock; LP version, on 180 gram vinyl. Tired of quarreling endlessly with his imperious brother Klaus, Thomas Dinger quit the production of Viva, the second La D?sseldorf album, and promptly set off for the south of France. Frustrated and far away from home, his mind turned to the possibility of a solo album. An album devoted to his own musical ideas, free from domineering voices telling him what to do. Presenting his own vision in the context of a La D?sseldorf LP would have been difficult at the best of times. "I wanted to create something by myself, to make something just for me and nobody else," the third member of the band Hans Lampe recalls him saying -- hence the album title F?r mich. He recorded the album in La D?sseldorf's studio in 1981, with Hans Lampe on board as co-producer and engineer. The six instrumental pieces, melancholic and elegiac in character, featured layers of synthesizer sounds, closer to the music of Wolfgang Riechmann or Michael Rother than that of La D?sseldorf. (The pulsating 4/4 beat associated with Klaus Dinger can be heard just the once. Two tracks are actually written in a 3/4 signature). The nearest points of reference in the La D?sseldorf canon might be the more measured "Rheinita" and "Silver Cloud." In the studio, Dinger and Lampe allowed themselves plenty of time to experiment. As Thomas wished, his brother Klaus stayed away from the recording and mixing sessions. Hans Lampe described the creative process thus: "There was a large balcony to the rear of Thomas' apartment, looking onto a vast, overgrown courtyard. A little park, a verdant oasis in the big city. We sat here often, listening to music, working on the LP and musing on life. Thomas and I complemented each other marvelously, bouncing ideas off each other. Our understanding was so great, the mood was so deep and heartfelt, we thoroughly enjoyed working together." Which is how the album sounds: simultaneously conveying a sense of somber depth and unfettered lightness, even playfulness.

SPK Zamia Lehmanni: Songs Of Byzantine Flowers CD
2026 reprint. Originally released by Side Effects in 1986, Zamia Lehmanni was the third (and final) core SPK album and was Graeme Revell's first truly solo project. He was in a period of transition, somewhere between the industrial noise of the early years and his later award-winning soundtrack work. On the day before this was first released, this style of music, now ubiquitous (especially in soundtracks), did not exist. After Information Overload Unit (1981) cleared a space for subsequent explorations, and the environmental percussion and anchored mutilated sound collages of Leichenschrei (1982), the "body without organs" was fully eviscerated. Graeme felt "industrial music" was becoming ossified and needed to be taken into radically new territories: "post-industrial". The track "In Flagrante Delicto" (mastered as originally intended here) was later used by Revell for his work on the soundtrack for the 1989 film Dead Calm, which won him Best Original Score from the Australian Film Institute. Unavailable in any format since Mute's 1992 CD edition, Cold Spring Records now present this landmark album on newly remastered CD, and on vinyl for the first time since 1986. Approved by Graham Revell, this release comes with new artwork by Abby Helasdottir and is remastered by Martin Bowes (The Cage). New liner notes from Graeme Revell, 2019. CD version comes in six-panel digipak; the track "The Doctrine Of Eternal Ice" appears on CD only.

First ultra-rare album from the cultish experimental jam band formed in 1967 in Orange County, released on Radish record, little more than a private press label. ZAHN Purpur CD
Berlin's experimental trio ZAHN returns with their most electrifying work yet. A lush fusion of heaviness, electronics, and hallucinatory color. Monolithic grooves meet synthetic shimmer. Purpur breathes tension and danger, pulsing with depth and density. Known for their intense, driving sound that echoes the relentless march of a world on the edge, the trio ZAHN -- Chris Breuer, Nic Stockmann, and Felix Gebhard -- are deepening their sonic exploration with a record that is simultaneously more electronic and more rock-infused than their acclaimed predecessors. Purpur takes its cue from the album's vivid cover -- a burst of grapes and berries that mirrors its lush, colorful sound. The record blends potent genres into something fresh and electrifying: heavy foundations meet rich electronic textures, creating layers of color, complexity, and a touch of hallucinatory sweetness. Recorded once again in Gyhum with recording engineer Peter Voigtmann (ex-The Ocean, Death By Gong, Heads), Purpur follows in the footsteps of the band's previous work but also marks a bold leap forward. Guest appearances by Fabian Bremer (Radare, AUA) and Kjetil Nernes (?rabrot) deepen the record's sense of unease and allure, while Magnus Lindberg's (Cult of Luna) mix and master give it the depth of a subterranean pulse -- crisp, heavy and alive with microscopic detail. While Adria offered a vivid escape through Krautrock, dark jazz, noise rock and post-punk, Purpur draws listeners into a denser, more intricate and tightly woven soundscape. The band's third full-length is an intoxicating swirl of synthetic pulse and physical heft -- a record that feels like it's been fermented rather than composed. Also available on black (CSRLP 035LP) and blue color vinyl (CSRLP 035X-LP).

2026 repress. Etta James' first for Chess, 1961's At Last! was a stunning comeback album, with hits "All I Could Do Was Cry," "Trust In Me," and the title track bringing her to both the pop and R&B charts in the USA. The varied approach brought out the best in James, tackling Willie Dixon's "I Just Want To Make Love To You" as competently as her takes of "Stormy Weather" and "A Sunday Kind Of Love," and there are stirring originals co-written by Harvey Fuqua in "It's A Crying Shame," "If I Can't Have You," and "My Heart Cries." She's clearly at the top of the peak throughout this beautiful record, which is easily one of her very best.

SUR DRONE T.I.T.S. LP
"Sur Drone's debut LP, T.I.T.S. is a collaboration by renowned graphic artist Raymond Pettibon and avant-garde composer Daniel Adams. Together, they created an unusual musical album full of lowbrow grit and high-concept levity. Raymond supplied the graphics, wrote the lyrics, and performed as lead vocalist. Daniel wrote and produced the music, played guitar, and recorded it to 24-track analog tape. When indie legend Geza X first heard the results, he gasped 'This is dynamite!!' and immediately signed them to Geza X Records. He reeled in his longtime friend Lisa Fancher (head of illustrious Frontier Records) to co-release this high-profile project. Pettibon's Black Flag and Sonic Youth record covers are well known to any record buyer. A self-taught artist born in Tucson, Arizona, Raymond Pettibon emerged in the late 1970s on the California punk-rock scene, designing covers and flyers for SST Records (founded by his brother, Greg Ginn). He began self-publishing his drawings, which adopted the DIY aesthetic of comics, flyers, and fanzines. His name became synonymous with punk art. Today, Pettibon's modern art museum pieces draw from a wide range of sources, including literature, art history, popular culture, religion, politics, and even sports. The other half of S?r Drone is Daniel Adams, a multidisciplinary conceptual artist who composed soundtracks for Roger Corman and others. He's a composer, producer and film director based in Los Angeles, California. Adams' guitar work covers a broad range of sounds, from surf-styled electric guitar and drones to circuit-bent noise. As a songwriter, his music is a whimsical, rollicking party featuring many guest artists."

BRANCIFORTE & THEO BLECKMANN, JOSEPH LP2 LP
Limited 2026 restock. The sophomore release from vocalist Theo Bleckmann and electronic musician and producer Joseph Branciforte, LP2 is a follow-up, companion piece, and elegant evolution of the shared musical language first developed on the duo's debut, 2019's LP1. Branciforte and Bleckmann return with a meticulously crafted album of even greater scope and complexity, further dissolving the boundaries between improvisation and composition, live performance and studio production, human and machine-generated sound. The first sound one hears when putting the needle down on LP2 -- a granular skein embroidered with the barest silhouette of a melody -- is a moment typical of the collaboration between Theo Bleckmann and Joseph Branciforte: one is never quite sure where the human ends and the operations of machines begin. The album, in its concentrated 42 minutes, proves that the palpable sonic chemistry heard on Bleckmann and Branciforte's debut was no fluke. The duo has built on LP1's successes -- alloying Bleckmann's otherworldly vocals with Branciforte's extended electronic palette and obsessively detailed production -- but they have also broken new ground in both textural invention and compositional scope. Whereas LP1 was recorded spontaneously -- with no premeditation and minimal post-production -- the sessions for LP2 proceeded somewhat differently. The pair also allowed themselves the use of studio overdubbing, occasionally adding additional instrumentation to their improvisations after the fact. One hears fleeting moments throughout the album when the dream logic of free improvisation and the premeditated nature of orchestration converge: a vibraphone doubling a meandering vocal line, or a stack of voices outlining an intricate chord progression. These moments reveal the duo's willingness to experiment with structure and form, while maintaining the spontaneity that made their first album so compelling. LP1 and LP2 also serve as fitting bookends to the Greyfade label's inaugural series of releases.

COLD SUN Dark Shadows LP
2026 restock. Vivid peyote-induced psychedelia from Texas sounding like an impossible meld between the Elevators and the Velvet Underground but possessing a strongly unique disposition. Recorded in 1970 but never released at the time, featuring future members of Roky Erickson's backing band Bleib Alien/The Aliens. Formed in Austin in the late 1960s by visionary lyricist and autoharp player Billy Bill Miller and his friend Tom McGarrigle on guitar, Cold Sun evolved from a band called Cauldron (later Amethyst) which at one point featured drummer John Kearney from Roky Erickson's first band The Spades. Miller, a proto-Goth figure always dressed in black, highly influenced by Joe Meek and vintage sci-fi/horror movies, started to experiment with weird noises out of his electrified autoharp, favoring the audio-oriented drug mescaline over the LSD associated with hippies. Amethyst jammed with musicians such as Benny Thurman from the 13th Floor Elevators and Steve Webb from the Lost And Found. It was through Mike Waugh's friendship with Elevators drummer John Ike Walton that Billy Miller and the band hooked up with the local label/studio Sonobeat, who expressed interest in recording an album with the intention to shop it to a major label: thus, the now-legendary Cold Sun album was born. The band, driven by Miller's strange electrified autoharp sounds plus the massive fuzz guitar of McGarrigle, dressed with feedback and futuristic lyrics, laid down several tracks in between rehearsals at Miller's house on Castle Hill (west Austin). Never released at the time, the Cold Sun album languished in oblivion and the musicians moved on to other things. It wasn't until 1990 that the Cold Sun album was finally released on vinyl by the Rockadelic label (in a tiny edition of 300 copies), followed by a new edition on German label World In Sound in 2008, now out of print. For this new edition, Guerssen tried to imagine how the Cold Sun album could have looked like if it had been actually released in 1970. It comes in a hard cardboard sleeve with vintage styled artwork by psychedelic illustrator Callum Rooney. Sourced from the same audio master as the original Rockadelic LP, the sound has been vastly improved thanks to the meticulous and careful restoration/remastering by audiophile engineer Ezra Lesser, who has also penned the definitive story of Cold Sun for the liner notes.

CORTINI, ALESSANDRO Forse 1 2LP
2026 restock. "Deluxe double LP. Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails/How To Destroy Angels) composed the Forse series using a Buchla Music Easel. Forse, meaning 'maybe' In Italian, is a series of three double LP releases Cortini recorded for Important to release in 2013. 'All pieces were written and performed live on a Buchla Music Easel, in the span of one month. I found that the limited array of modules that the instrument offers sparked my creativity. Most pieces consist of a repeating chord progression, where the real change happens at a spectral/dynamic level, as opposed to the harmonic/chordal one. I believe that the former are just as effective as the latter, in the sense that the sonic presentation (distortion , filtering, wave shaping, etc.) are just as expressive as a chord change or chord type, and often reinforce said chord progressions. Of all the years with Nine Inch Nails the period spent writing and recording the instrumental record Ghosts I-IV is probably the one which changed my approach to music making the most. After that record I started getting more into instrumental composition, although I tried to approach it in a different way. While we had a vast array of tools and instruments at our disposal then, I decided to approach my pieces limiting myself to one instrument only, as I found myself being more decisive when faced with a limited creative environment.'"

GROUPER Dragging a Dead Deer Up a Hill LP
2026 repress; LP version. "The third full-length release for Portland, Oregon-based Liz Harris. Harris might have achieved a significant fan base thanks to the whispering, near-ambient vocal crusades of her debut album Way Their Crept and its follow-up Wide, but those with a careful ear would have heard slightly more trapped beneath her fuzzy chain of effects. Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill marks a departure of sorts for Liz, which sees her turn down the fuzz boxes which caged (and to some degree defined) her sound and allows her voice to ring out above everything else. It is an album steeped in the world of dream-pop and far from shying away from the reference, Liz has instead grabbed on with both hands, creating an album's worth of perfect, left-field pop songs. Using delicate song structures which are at once both familiar and somehow alien, her vocals cry out hauntingly over stripped-down guitar lines and looped environmental recordings. These are the future soundtracks to love, despair and ultimately, hope." "This remarkable album is actually what I personally always wanted 4AD records to sound like, only they never quite delivered the hazy pleasures their beautiful sleeve art promised." --Pitchfork (8.2)

"Canadian composer Scott Morgan's 12th long-player as loscil takes its title from an influential series of early 20th century photographs by Alfred Stieglitz, abstracting clouds into miasmic, painterly canvases of smoke and shadowplay. It's a deeply fitting analog for Morgan's own musical process across the past two decades, fraying forms and tones into widescreen mirages of opaque texture and negative space. The name Equivalents referred to Stieglitz's notion of the photographs as being equivalent to his 'philosophical or emotional states of mind;' the same could be said of these eight weighty, shivering chiaroscuros of sound. Each piece unfolds and evolves enigmatically, adrift in low oxygen atmospheres, shifting dramatically from pockets of density to dissipated streaks of moonlit vapor. The entirety of the record was created specifically for the album with the exception of 'Equivalent 7,' which began as a dance score for frequent collaborator Vanessa Goodman. The album version of this track was reworked with Vancouver musician Amir Abbey aka Secret Pyramid. Cloud photographs taken by Scott Morgan at various locations throughout Cascadia in 2018."

DAVID AND HIS WINOS, MOGAN Savage Young Winos LP
LP version. "Out of circulation since 1976, the recordings of the Los Angeles rock band Mogan David and His Winos is finally be available again. The group's lineup featured a 'who's who' of heavyweights in the American music industry, including Harold Bronson and Richard Foos (co-founders of Rhino Records), Paul Rappaport (Columbia Records), and Mark Leviton (Rhino/Warner Music Group). Additionally, the band included Jonathan Kellerman, a New York Times bestselling author known for his series of novels starring the fictional child psychologist Alex Delaware. Started in high school by Bronson, a music-obsessed Los Angeles native, the Winos' band name was derived from Westfield, New York's Mogen David Wine Company, inspired by those crazy band names from the psychedelic era, such as Jefferson Airplane and Strawberry Alarm Clock. The Savage Young Winos LP received some national attention, with Creem Magazine's Lester Bangs writing, 'Side one's at least as listenable as Roxy Music. Hooracha and more power to 'em.' By 1974, Bronson was working as store manager at the recently launched Rhino Records retail store on Westwood Boulevard. In collaboration with the store's owner, Richard Foos, Bronson's Kosher Records evolved into a new independent label, also named Rhino Records. This release of Savage Young Winos follows its predecessor by an amazing 53-year gap. Bronson, who also serves as producer for the project, decided to leave off four songs from the earlier release that he felt hadn't stood the test of time. They have been replaced with a pair of demo tracks, additional live recordings from the period, and two tracks from a Winos' reunion session in 1993. The CD includes 19 tracks packaged with a 24-page booklet with extensive liner notes and rare photos."

THIRD EAR BAND Macbeth LP
2026 restock. "As a luxurious aperitif for the future release of the Elements album (including its extra sauces), Munster Records bring us Macbeth, the staggering soundtrack by the English band Third Era Band for a Roman Polanski's film, recorded and produced in 1971. A magical invitation urging the listener to dive into unsuspected regions of boldness, unpredictability, and an intimate abstract-folkster-experimentalism. According to the founding member Glenn Sweeney, 'the music was called alchemical because it was produced by repetition.' However, mind it, such repetition doesn't follow the same musical structures of, let's say, Terry Riley, Steve Reich or Philip Glass due to its indefinite nature of internal-twisted and tormented passages of a peculiar poetic enchantment. The band, formed in Canterbury, started in 1967 playing an oriental hypnotic-free-form-folk. Signed to the prosperous cult label Harvest, they debuted in 1969 with Alchemy, an instrumental jazzy-psych improvisational album. A fully formed masterpiece came in 1970 on the already aforementioned self-titled opus, also known as Elements. For Macbeth, their third one, just the main chief Glenn Sweeney (assorted percussion) and Richard Coff (viola and violin) remained from the original four-piece line-up. It was recorded when half of the quartet -- Richard Coff (viola and violin) and Ursula Smith (cello) -- had already departed, and they were about to record a third album entitled The Dragon Wakes . . . Aside from a few sessions, this album was never completed. The themes presented on the film were composed in an improvised manner while watching black and white excerpts of the oeuvre. The music, recorded in six weeks at George Martin's Air Studios, in July 1971, has the same unconventional and quite unique dimension as the film itself. It is an auteur music for an auteur film . . . There is an arty-medieval atmosphere overall, and it's folkishly ludic in tracks like 'Overture', 'Iverness', 'Court Dance' and 'Fleance', where the experimental interjections function as colorful devices. 'Fleance' -- with the guest singer Keith Chegwin -- is a scintillating highlight. The poetic assaults of concrete music are present in themes like 'The Beach', 'Ambush', 'Prophesies', as if every drumming fractures, singing seagulls or sharp whistles where conducting us to waves of fear into the unknown. There are other lost beauties in its official 44 minutes like the minimal oboe melody of 'Lady Macbeth' floating as a centipede of dreams or the lyrical guitar chords of 'The Banquet' punctuating a climax of sheer mystery..." --Fernando Naporano

KEITA TRIO, ALY Balafon Evolution CD
On his new album, the Ivorian balafon virtuoso Aly Ke?ta explores new horizons for his instrument in improvised music. Together with his Berlin-based trio, he conquers the peaks of balafon possibilities one by one, wandering between groovy African rhythms, spectacular polyphony and elements of jazz, and combining them into a fusion that is both futuristic and deeply in roots. In Balafon Evolution, Ke?ta establishes a new level of balafon artistry, creating universal, contemporary soundscapes that transcend cultural boundaries. The Aly Ke?ta Trio embodies the pulsating spirit of the Berlin jazz scene. Coming from different cultural backgrounds, the three musicians found a common language on stage as they explored the metropole, one of the most active, buzzing jazz hubs of Europe. Aly Ke?ta and the Dutch drummer Marcel van Cleef began playing together in 2008, forming the core of the trio's future "groove machine." As a part of the Aly Ke?ta and Magic Balafon formation, they shared a prize of the Global music contest Creole in 2009. Recognized as one of the most intriguing and innovative bass players among the new generation, the Italian bass player Roberto Badoglio, joined trio in 2014, becoming a true "fusion reactor" of the band.

PERIOD MUSIC Period Music Book
116 pages. A5 format, risograph printing with thread binding, exposed spine. Period Music is a research process involving Susanna Gonzo, Merma Suelo, Tuce Alba, Elizabeth Gallon Droste, Agnese Menguzzato, and Farah Hazim. The six artists aim to attune to the different temporalities experienced through our bodies, drawing from multiple meanings of period -- from the menstrual cycle to musical repetitions and astronomical revolutions. Period Music has been staying with essential matters on how we listen to time and rhythms in our bodies and in the world. Questioning the tempo of everyday life in an accelerated system like that of modern society, the group has opened up co-creation spaces to listen to embodied memories. Through dialogue, improvisation and jam sessions, the six artists attuned to each other's processes, composing music, word scores and drawings -- ultimately sounding together. This work embodies other notions of community through archetypes, embracing the impermanence that reveals the countless rhythms of life. Period Music speaks of friendship and connection, and invites you to take on a journey of interconnectedness between rhythms and the broader social structures influencing life. The project emerges from conversations that began in Berlin in the fall of 2023, including a one-week residency at Atelier Josepha in Ahrenshoop by the Baltic Sea in April 2024. The first physical iteration of this project consists of a book and a vinyl (OP 088LP). The album features looping improvisational compositions encoded with messages about multiple temporalities. 2026 repress. DJ Koze's 2013 opus Amygdala (PAMPA 007CD/LP) has continued to bewitch all who encounter it since its release, with classic songwriting at its core, house in its heart, and veins coursing with psychedelic color. "XTC" begins in the same spirit as album standout "La Duquesa," before sweetly imploring tones become demanding, gentle gradients between chords turn hard-edged, and sharp hi-hats cut through the haze. "Knee on Belly" recalls Koze at his most tongue-in-cheek and overt; bright and bold, it features cut-up horns of all shapes and sizes, and a swollen, thrumming bassline that brings this floor-filler to life.

&ME In Your Eyes 12"
2026 repress. Emitting his first material for Pampa, it's &ME. "In Your Eyes" showcases a rather pensive mood. It's just a few bars for the compound of kickdrum, tuned hi-hat tambourine, and shimmering background noise until the first chords of an improvised piano-piece are tenderly laid upon the beat. In comparison, "As Above So Below" is adding a fair amount of emphasis. It unfolds in a dry and dense sounding beat-architecture that's suspense-packed with shaker sounds and sub textual field recordings. Most certainly, a slip-proof ground for this tune's centerpiece, a scale-riding synth bass sparking an almost anthemic trigger for floor-ecstasy.

WUNDER, SVEN Daybreak LP
Restocked; LP version. "At daybreak, as sunlight travels through the atmosphere and begins to reach Earth's surface, daylight gradually emerges. This marks the transition from night to the beginning of a brand-new day. As the temperature rises -- especially after clear, calm nights -- relative humidity decreases, and mist, formed of tiny suspended droplets, begins to evaporate. Warm air rises and cool air sinks, creating an interplay of temperature, humidity and sunlight that gives way to a soft, diffuse glow. The sea breeze slowly clears the morning mist, setting life in motion once again as the world wakes up. Daybreak is Sven Wunder's fifth full-length album, seamlessly continuing the progression of his musical oeuvre. It takes the listener on a vivid maritime expedition, beginning the moment the first rays of light break the darkness of the night and embarking on a lush journey through the early hours of the day and far beyond, until the light slowly fades and night falls once again. True to Wunder's now distinctive artistry, Daybreak is marked by elaborately crafted compositions and elegant pop-jazz arrangements for flute, percussion, brass and strings -- supported by a decisive rhythm section, all of which add depth and build on his body of work, continuing to unfold his creative path."

TEE-SET Emotion LP
Warehouse find, last copies. "In the mid sixties beat groups got quite popular in the Netherlands. The Motions, Golden Earrings, Outsiders and Q65 manifested themselves in the footsteps of The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Pretty Things. In 1966 a new top band entered the scene, this time from Delft. After the hit singles 'Early in the Morning' and 'Believe What You Say,' songs written by Shocking Blue-guitarist Robbie van Leeuwen, in November 1968 the Tee-Set went into the GTB studio to record an album with all new songs. Stimulated by Harry Knipschild, manager Theo Kuppens and singer Peter Tetteroo, with a voice reminiscent of Stevie Winwood, decided to build Dave Van Ronk's 'Dont Leave Me Here' into the party song 'Dont You Leave.' The reactions to the album were phenomenal. The trendy Hitweek wrote: 'The Tee-Set album is, in one word, fantastic. With a sound that is solid like a brick house. This is the Nederlanger [Dutch LP] of the year! We do not get enthusiastic very fast, but this album is incredibly good. The Dutch Beat is on a roll.' 'Don't You Leave' became the Tee-Sets first top 10 hit. The album was also a great success. Unique in that time: Emotion was also released in Italy. Tee-Set continued. 'Ma Belle Amie' became a worldwide hit, and even landed in the U.S. Top 5. 'She Likes Weeds' was a number one in the Netherlands. The fantastic first album Emotion has now been remastered from the original master tapes for the first time. It sounds better than ever and is available with the original artwork. Enjoy the breakthrough of the Tee-Set." Original album & artwork from December 1966. Limited edition 300 copies; 180 grams vinyl housed in a 350 gram carton sleeve.

VOIGT, WOLFGANG Gas Book w/CD
2026 restock. Softcover book/photographic art catalogue with exclusive audio compact disc included, 128 pages in full-color, shrink-wrapped together. For the first time ever, Wolfgang Voigt aka Gas presents the visual aspect of the comprehensive Gas project in print. It is not meant to be a monolithic retrospective of his visual work, but it features a broad spectrum of photographic images taken between 1995 and 1998, showing many different moods and perspectives of Wolfgang Voigt's cosmos. What they all have in common is the mystical focus and seemingly, the blurring of boundaries between lightness and darkness, happiness and depression, kitsch and art, pixels and leaves. With the enclosed CD, Voigt has opened his treasure chest and presents some well-selected, rare jewels from the very early days (and nights). Four of the five tracks have never been released or played before. In the middle of the 1990s, Wolfgang Voigt, better known under a great many pseudonyms such as Mike Ink, Studio1 or Grungerman, and the driving force behind the rise of Cologne minimal techno, had reached a temporary peak in his career. Going back to the 1980s, Voigt began working under a self-realized concept he named "Blei." Taking in the most varied sound models, he began to extract elements from classical, polka, or brass music, and along with electronic pop music and German schlager sounds, formed a distinguished and unique pop music style that would fit in with the subculture at that time. In the early 1990s, influenced by techno, Voigt began to experiment with a timbal marching through strongly alienated, free-floating string loops. These elegiac tracks, their lack of beginning or end, their intoxicating, smooth, and partly amorphous structure sounded to him like evaporating gas and thus, Gas music was born. In his music, Wolfgang Voigt does not create a direct reference to the original sounds he alters; rather, he tries to reduce the material to its basic aesthetic structure by using different zoom, loop and alienation techniques in order to release it from its original meaning and context. His intention is to create a kind of aesthetic essence, a cave (detail/loop/repetition) where you can get thrillingly lost.

ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO The Sixth Decade: From Paris to Paris 2LP
2026 restock. "The Art Ensemble Of Chicago, expanding to a chamber orchestra, marks its sixth decade as a vital force on the world music stage with an ear-opening live recording on two LPs. Recorded in France in 2020 at the Son D'Hiver Festival, this recording celebrates the legendary group's historic ties to Paris, where it was formed in 1968. When trumpet great Lester Bowie died in 1999, followers of the Art Ensemble of Chicago couldn't help but wonder whether the legendary quintet, which owed so much to his special and outlandish gifts, would -- or should -- go on. That it did, in his memory, with no loss of spirit. But the subsequent passing of two other founding members Malachi Favors Maghostut in 2004 and Joseph Jarman in 2019, made it even more difficult to envision a future for the band. Leave it to the AEC's proud surviving members, saxophonist/composer Roscoe Mitchell and drummer/percussionist Famoudou Don Moye to keep its flame glowing. In typical bold fashion, they not only extended the life of this beloved band, they redefined it in glorious and unexpected ways. With the addition of brilliant young players including poet and spoken word artist Moor Mother, cellist Tomeka Reid and violinist Jean Cook, and esteemed elders including trumpeter Hugh Ragin, flutist Nicole Mitchell, and bassist Jaribu Shahid, AEC became a full-fledged chamber orchestra. 'Come rejoice in a higher place!' urges the magnetic Moor Mother. In both honoring the band's illustrious history and soaring to new creative heights as a 17-member aggregation, Mitchell and Moye and company do just that. Would AEC have become the creative force it is had it not gotten the opportunity to find itself in Paris all those years ago? Will AEC return to celebrate their seventh? 'We can't control the clock, everything takes place in its own time,' says Mitchell. Don't be surprised if the time continues to be right for the AEC for years to come."

ART BOULEVARD 1987 > 1985 a story backwards LP
Seventeen years after its original CD release, the Art Boulevard collection returns on vinyl. This edition brings together all the demos and the tracks from their EP, recorded between 1985 and 1987. Creators of a distinctly New-Wave sound with a soft, graceful touch of psychedelic pop, they delivered a dark, hypnotic atmosphere shaped by influences such as The Sound and The Teardrop Explodes. Compiled by Fred Ventura.

ART ZOYD G?n?ration Sans Futur LP
Limited restock, last copies; LP version. G?n?ration Sans Futur (Generation Without a Future), Art Zoyd's third LP originally released in 1980 through Atem Records, returns to the sound (and lineup, plus Daniel Denis (Univers Zero)) of the group's first album, Symphonie Pour le Jour o? Br?leront les Cit?s (SR 330CD/LP). The 17-minute "La Ville" is a powerful epic, featuring Thierry Zabo?tzeff's prehistoric grunts, complex time shifts, and a tribal/ritualistic feel once again close to the spirit of Magma. But unlike "Musique pour l'Odyss?e" (the title-track of Art Zoyd's second album (SR 364CD/LP)), the music here is fast-paced, less atmospheric, more organized. It plays on the tension that would remain the basis of Art Zoyd's originality: a tribal, atavistic feel contrasting with contemporary classical aesthetics. Actually, G?n?ration Sans Futur may lean more toward the contemporary side, as exemplified by pieces like "Divertissement," "Trois Miniatures," and the manic "Speedy Gonzales." "G?n?ration Sans Futur," on the other hand, taps into a more visceral progressive rock format and percussionist Daniel Denis actually gets to play drums for a couple of minutes, giving the piece an unusual drive. A strong album, unavailable for years, now reissued with new artwork.

VA Indian Talking Machine Part Two: Instrumental Gems From The 78rpm Era 2LP
This double LP of instrumental Hindustani, Carnatic and folk 78rpm shellac records from India comes with a full color 12-page insert of gramophone record ephemera, shops, labels, manufacturing details and graphics. The LPs feature over 25 artists recorded between 1904 and 1959 playing a panoply of instruments: jalatarang, dilruba, sarod, clarionet, pakhawaj, violin, been, kazoo, shehnai, tabla, sarangi, sitar, vina and more. Artists include Imdad Khan (the first sitarist ever recorded), Ahmedjan Thirkhawa, Bundu Khan, Amir Hussain, Allauddin Khan (who taught Ravi Shankar), and others both forgotten and revered. The Indian classical instrumental tradition is one of incredible proficiency and expressiveness using instruments and techniques created over generations that seem to perfectly and uniquely compliment Indian culture, landscape and tradition. Sympathetic strings resonate inside sitars and sarangis to manifest shimmering reverberant spiritual spaces; horns, reeds and flutes extend the range, volume and melodic inventiveness of the voice; a mind-boggling array of elaborately turned percussion instruments allow for rhythms as complex or as simple as the flowing Ganges River. Classical music in India was perhaps at its height during the 78rpm period as the raj era was ending and the world was globalizing. 2LP gatefold with 12-page full color booklet insert. Produced by Robert Millis (Climax Golden Twins/Victrola Favorites) and features never reissued recordings and is the long-anticipated follow up to the Indian Talking Machine book/CD (Sublime Frequencies 099), which was also produced by Millis from his collection of 78rpm records and ephemera.

FALL, THE Grotesque (After The Gramme) LP
2026 repress. "Bursting into the 1980s on a new label (the then-upstart, now-legendary Rough Trade) and with an augmented, audibly panicked lineup, The Fall's Grotesque is the true pure-bred Fall release from the Marc Riley era. Released in the immediate wake of The Fall's most beloved single ('Totally Wired'), the album carries over that righteously famed teeth-chattering, bolstered in no small part by the drumming of new addition Paul Hanley, brother of bassist Steve Hanley and aged only 15 at the time of recording. 'Pay Your Rates' negates the notion of easing into things, opening the album with pure jitter, guided by hornet-buzz guitars and Mark E. Smith's commanding shout, allowing for breath only during the brief, lumbering waltzes that appear at unexpected intervals. 'New Face In Hell' is an entirely alien take on dancehall post-punk - a kazoo-driven rave-up that holds an unshakable position in the band's canon. Many significant firsts surround Grotesque, including The Fall's inaugural production partnership with Mayo Thompson and the debut of Suzanne Smith's wonderful artwork, both of which would play key roles in the band's following phase. Superior Viaduct's edition is the first time that Grotesque has been available on vinyl domestically since its initial release in 1980. Liner notes by Brian Turner."

SCIENTIST In The Kingdom Of Dub LP
2026 repress. "Hopeton Brown, better known as Scientist, has been a pioneering figure in the world of dub for 40 years. His early love of electronics proved fruitful when (still a teenager) he was hired at King Tubby's studio in Kingston. Brown quickly ascended the ranks and became heir to Tubby's throne, producing imaginative and technically impressive mixes that solidified his forward-looking nickname. Originally released in 1981, In The Kingdom Of Dub remains one of the best early LPs in Scientist's long career. Produced by Roy Cousins at Channel One and featuring Sly and Robbie along with members of The Revolutionaries, The Aggrovators and The Soul Syndicate, the album offers a wide range of arresting rhythms, bold effect drops and exquisitely melodic bass. From '18 Drumalie Avenue Dub' (a reference to King Tubby's address) to 'Burning Sun Dub', Scientist lays down a veritable roadmap of dub -- filled with disintegrating echoes of satiny organ and textural guitar -- firmly cementing his place as one of the true innovators in Jamaican popular music."

MCPHEE, JOE Nation Time LP
2026 repress. "'It's been nearly five decades since Joe McPhee assembled a group of musicians to perform the weekend concerts that would become Nation Time, his second LP. It was December 1970, thirty-one-year-old McPhee was inspired by Amiri Baraka's poem 'It's Nation Time,' and the students at Vassar College didn't know what hit them. 'What time is it?' shouted the bandleader. 'C'mon, you can do better than that. What time is it?!' The music on Nation Time came out of the fertile, but little-known creative jazz scene in Poughkeepsie, New York, McPhee's home base. Two bands were deployed, one with a funky free foundation featuring guitar and organ, the other consisting of a more standard jazz formation with two drummers and the brilliant Mike Kull at the piano. Across the concert and the next afternoon's audience-less recording session, the band was ignited by McPhee's passion and his gorgeous post-Coltrane / post-Pharoah tenor. On 'Shakey Jake,' they hit a James Brown groove filtered through Archie Shepp, while the sidelong title track is as searching and poignant today as it was during its heyday. Originally released in 1971 on CjR, an imprint started expressly to document McPhee's music, Nation Time has a sense of urgency and inspiration. Additional material from those December days would later appear on Black Magic Man, Hat Hut's first release. In fact, the first four records on this seminal Swiss label all featured McPhee. Nation Time was largely unknown a quarter century or so later, when it was first issued on CD through Atavistic's Unheard Music Series. On Corbett vs. Dempsey, we reissued the album along with all known tapes leading up to and around it as a deluxe box set, but the standalone LP has long remained incredibly rare. Now is the time for a new generation of freaks to lose their shit when settling into the cushy beat of 'Shakey Jake' and answer McPhee's call with the only appropriate response: It's NATION TIME.' --John Corbett."

MONOCHROME SET, THE Lotus Bridge CD
Unashamedly literate UK post-punk sophisticates The Monochrome Set, having amassed a formidable catalogue of releases over five decades, are ready to release their new opus Lotus Bridge on Tapete Records -- the band's home for the last twelve years and six studio albums. Their instantly recognizable sound and darkly humorous lyrics have always set them apart. Bid's cerebral wit and debonair tones, melded to infectious melodies and deft songcraft of a cinematic and literary quality, have been quietly influential over a diverse set of artists since their inception and throughout different stages of their career. The band are, in essence, a national treasure. Lotus Bridge is a psychedelic trip into Bid's rich and fantastical dreamworld. Based on a singular dream that represented itself after an eight-month hiatus just when it became time to record again, Bid recounts in sharp detail the myriad of characters and surroundings that appeared in his dream and inspired this new set of stories to unfold. This new album follows on from Bid's book of selected lyrics -- Strange Young Alien -- published by Ventil Verlag in November 2025. Lotus Bridge has a subtle but quite different feel compared to previous TMS albums -- the core use of electric piano and acoustic guitar, electric guitars often used in wide stereo, and overall a very focused and almost orchestral feel to it. There are also ambient sounds between many of the songs, so that the whole album feels like a connected whole. Bid is joined in The Monochrome Set for this recording by fellow original Andy Warren on bass, Stephen Gilchrist on drums and Athen Ayren on keyboards and guitar. Alice Healey once again provides backing vocals. The album was recorded at OneCat Studio in London, engineered by Jon Clayton and produced by Jon Clayton and Bid.

GNOD & WHITE HILLS Drop Out III (Orange Color Vinyl) 2LP
Limited restock; LP version. Orange color vinyl. "Manchester's Gnod and New York's White Hills stand as titans of psychedelic and space rock. Together they bend the very notions of what rock can do, seemingly suspending our sense of time. Their alchemical chemistry and a fateful session at the Dropout Studio in Camberwell gave rise to the legendary, ongoing series of records under the moniker Drop Out. The records became an influential and sprawling series of extended pieces that remain touchstones of contemporary psychedelia. Having been called 'absolutely essential,' 'best I have heard -- ever,' 'A masterpiece,' the Drop Out series finally gets its definitive edition. Drop Out III is a wholly new iteration of Gnod and White Hills' collaboration, the 'director's cut,' if you will. Drop Out III is replete with sounds recorded in the 'Drop Out era' that have never been heard before. The album features a cornucopia of expanded versions of essential songs complete with new arrangements, mixes, and instrumentation. Classics like 'Run-A-Round' and the eponymous 'Drop Out' maintain their motorik drive and fizzing melodies with a new shine. The set also features a full LP of pieces never before included on vinyl, including the beautifully serene 'Air Streams' in its original droning arc. The album comes with a download of a full album's worth of bonus material, all crafted around the Drop Out era. White Hills' 'Decorating Time' showcases the depth of the band's subtlety, rich with minute turns and a twist of psychedelic ambience. 'Nothing NEU! Under the Sky' captures the invigorating pulse and dynamics of Gnod's live performances. Together, this expansive body of work epitomizes the sense of possibility each band exudes, and the potency of their expertly crafted brand of Transatlantic psychedelia. 15 years after the series began, Drop Out III is an essential album for lovers of contemporary psychedelic rock, a testament to the power of this collaboration.""Gnod have been one of the constants, part of our sonic firmament...one of our most cherished groups." --The Quietus"White Hills' nods to giants like Hawkwind, but their scope is wide and their execution is steely and precise" --Pitchfork

DIXON, TERRENCE When Stars Remember 12"
Detroit original, Terrence Dixon, returns to Tresor Records with When Stars Remember. The release finds him stepping forward: whilst many of the hall marks of a Terrence Dixon production are present, the drums are more forward; the synth arpeggios so bold that "monumental" seems a better descriptor than "minimal." The absence of things is another main theme of the EP, especially what Dixon sees as "The Forgotten," a group of fundamental principles like common sense, trust, loyalty, honesty and respect that are missing from modern life.

STARDRUM, BOOKER Close-up On The Outside LP
Drummer/composer Booker Stardrum delivers a new powerful solo album Close-up On The Outside, his first for We Jazz Records. The new record sees Stardrum (also a member of SML) doubling down on the earthy tactility of human sound and communication while also exploring rich, electroacoustic landscapes. The album involves Stardrum's close collaborators Anna Butterss, Jeremiah Chiu, Chris Williams, Lester St. Louis, Logan Hone and Michael Coleman. The opening title track and the brief "Minturn" place Stardrum's solo music in the stillness of a late summer farm, with field recordings of insects and birds localizing the music; wooden balafon-like strokes are then looped into the foundational structure of the closing "Inside Sounds," hovering at poles that are both plaintive and direct. Dry, homemade mallet instruments and field recordings also nod in the direction of Harry Partch. There's a lot of warmth and sweat in Stardrum's music -- even if it's electroacoustic, one feels that it's made by people, and there is a biologically systemic quality to the way in which digital and analog sounds are interpolated. He creates textures through midi controllers, samples, and loops, wherein acoustic sequences are altered to fit plugged-in concepts or acoustic instrumentalists are brought in to humanize what he's already mapped out electronically. Threading the unique and very present feel of other musicians into his universe with an electronic hand is a fascinating challenge. The people Stardrum chose to work with on Close-up on the Outside are mostly artists he's worked with for years, or been connected to through mutual instigators. Bringing it back to the earthbound carpet that he's striving for, the push-pull between humanism and machinery ties into an ecological concept that Stardrum wants to call attention to. Toggling between composer and organizer, sound designer and instrumentalist, Stardrum offers that this music "represents my pure vision because it's my music, but that vision also involves playing with other people and letting them do what they do and also hoping that they're trusting me to do what I do. But in the end, making a solo record is much more a conversation with myself than setting up an improvised dialogue with various collaborators. Everything has its own special place in my orbit."

COHEN-SOLAL, ROBERT Les Shadoks LP + 7"
2026 restock; LP version. Comes as a limited edition 12" + 7" vinyl album; High glossy gatefold; Includes an exclusive Shadok drawing by Robert Cohen-Solal. WRWTFWW Records announce the release of the complete soundtrack of cult French animated TV series Les Shadoks (1968-1974) by Robert Cohen-Solal, available for the first time ever in its entirety. It's the right in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jacques Rouxel and Ren? Borg's legendary television cartoon. Electro-acoustic pioneer and eminent member of the illustrious GRM (Groupe de recherches musicales, the French equivalent of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop), Robert Cohen-Solal has explored music and sound alongside luminaries such as Bernard Parmegiani, Pierre Henry, Luc Ferrari, and Iannis Xenakis, and is responsible for numerous projects in the field of applied music, soundtracks (documentaries, shorts etc.), and experimental recordings. His work on Les Shadoks is simply extraordinary -- a fascinating and bizarre collage of wacky electro pop (? la Jean-Jacques Perrey), drones, musique concr?te, classical, and dadaist sound experiments seamlessly mixed into a cohesive and cinematic listening experience. The ideal soundtrack for what will remain one of the weirdest animated TV series ever created. A true literary, cultural, and philosophical phenomenon in France, Les Shadoks caused a sensation while airing between 1968 and 1974. Its unique combination of Alfred Jarry-style surrealism, off-centered British humor, and US comic strip inspiration, all brought to life by illustrated bird-like creatures (reminiscent of Paul Klee's La machine ? gazouiller, or Twittering Machine), left a lasting mark, making the term "Shadok" an oft-used satirical expression to describe policies and attitudes considered to be absurd.

VA Art Form 2 2LP
WRWTFWW Records presents the first-ever vinyl release of Art Form 2, the seminal 1998 compilation from Tokyo's cult label FORM@ RECORDS, now available as a limited edition double LP housed in a heavyweight sleeve, as part of the ongoing collaborative series between the Swiss and Japanese labels. Initially available only in CD form, Art Form 2 emerges as a quiet artifact from an exploratory phase in FORM@ RECORDS' late-1990s trajectory. The compilation drifts through the deeper layers of Tokyo's electronic underground, where IDM, techno, ambient, and downtempo dissolve into one another within an atmosphere of deliberate experimentation. Both intimate and forward-looking, it preserves a moment in which a local scene, largely unseen, was patiently reshaping the future beyond the reach of prevailing global narratives. Flowing with carefully sculpted rhythms, immersive sound design, and a subtle sense of machine soul, Art Form 2 reflects the maturity of the FORM@ aesthetic in 1998. The compilation resonates with the spirit of Warp's Artificial Intelligence era, Carl Craig's melodic futurism, Ken Ishii's cerebral techno, B12's deep electronics, and Ian O'Brien's emotive touch, while remaining unmistakably rooted in its own local context. Timeless and singular, it stands as a beautifully preserved time capsule of underground electronic music. Featuring Circle Limit, Led-M, Missing Project, Tensor, Tek Of 606, Misty Fuzz, Fossil, Modern Living, and Toh Chisei.
