ISAACS, GREGORY Mr. Isaacs LP
2026 repress. Originally released in 1977. "Among the most important full-length album works from one of reggae's greatest singers, Mr. Isaacs shows the great Gregory Isaacs in the prime of his career in 1976. Better known for his love songs, Isaacs was equally adept at cultural themes. The tracks 'Set The Captives Free' and 'Slave Master' are among the most popular in his catalog, the latter immortalized on film in the movie Rockers. The track 'Storm' became an early dancehall favorite, its rhythm track reimagined no fewer than 75 times over the last 40 years. Isaacs' love of rocksteady shines in his cover of the Silvertones' 'Smile,' and his soulful side comes through on a cover of The Temptations' 'Get Ready.' The breadth of material on Mr. Isaacs is the hallmark of a reggae classic."

ELLINGTON, DUKE Sentimental Swing: 1927-53 LP
Delayed... "Duke Ellington was one of the most important and influential figures in the entire history of jazz, as pianist, bandleader, composer and innovator, his career spanned the evolution from the early days of electric recording. However, while critics and commentators focus on his over-arching significance as a giant of the medium, it's easy to forget that he was a genius at composing tune and songs for the medium of the three-minute, 78rpm single, and during the first three decades of his career before rock 'n' roll changed the pop landscape irrevocably, he had more than 70 records that were credited as chart hits. The Duke himself preferred not to have his work referred to as 'jazz' but liked people to see it as he himself saw it, as being 'beyond category,' simply 'American music.' In a career lasting six decades, he attracted the very best musicians to his orchestras, and gifted to the world many of the jazz standards we know and love today This LP brings together some of his most iconic compositions, including timeless classics such as the Billboard R&B No.1 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore,' alongside stalwarts of the jazz canon 'Mood Indigo,' 'Sophisticated Lady,' 'Solitude,' 'Caravan,' 'Take The 'A' Train,' and 'It Don't Mean A Thing (If You Ain't Got That Swing).' It's a fantastic insight into his most successful output during a primary era of his career, and a great showcase for the artistry which made the Duke such a revered and iconic personality."

WILLIAMS LIFETIME, THE TONY Emergency! 2LP
2026 restock. The Tony Williams Lifetime's Emergency! is a furious, stunning, seminal album. In 1969, it's explosive sound divided critics in both jazz and rock but is now rightly regarded as groundbreaking. A musical statement so bold and irreverent that it was revolutionary. With Emergency!, provocative percussionist Tony Williams unified the most vital sounds of the era and galvanized the creation of jazz fusion. A sprawling double-LP that shattered the boundaries between jazz and rock, it forged fresh frontiers by unleashing dense, courageous and fantastically mysterious music. The group was founded by Tony Williams, a member of Miles Davis's radical 1960s quintet, out of his desire to fuse the influences of modern jazz and rock music. To effectively meld the scorching bop of Coltrane with the raging rock of Hendrix. Like all the very best records, Emergency! takes multiple listens for your brain and body to decipher everything going on, to truly process and appreciate the details that our senses are throwing at us. It's a mesmerizing, rough sound yet the intuitive interplay of all three musicians is super-tight. The tunes are strung out and jamming but retain a tight rhythmic focus. The incendiary title track immediately presents jazz-rock's chaotic birth. After Williams's ominous snare-roll signals the brewing storm, the snarling band blasts its way through the gate in truly breathtaking fashion, fuzzed-up wahed-out guitar riffs vying for prominence with gnarled, insistent organ. Thrillingly, Williams manages to both acrobatically crash over every element of his drum kit while keeping the whole groove undeniably funky. "Beyond Games" is a gloriously volatile freeform, featuring Williams' bugged-out vocals, whilst the 12-minute "Where" is another deep, wild jam. With the buoyant "Vashkar", we begin to experience jazz-rock's many angles; imaginative melodics, taut dynamics and as torrent of searing heat. Perhaps the most economical track on Emergency!, it's the most instant. The laconic "Via the Spectrum Road", a brilliant pop-psych tune, was sampled by Showbiz & AG on their classic debut LP. It oscillates between a tranquil funk groove and strutting improv interludes. The pyrotechnic jam "Spectrum" wakes things up again with pure, molten jazz lava and crazy soloing from all involved. A breathtaking, kaleidoscopic 13-minute cycle through ferocious noise, "Sangria For Three" is a sublimely frenetic detonation of distilled (acid) jazz rock. Closer "Something Spiritual" finishes this jaw-dropping set with a driving, unrelenting heavy guitar and organ freakout, backed high in the mix by Williams's untamed funk before unsettled dissonance rides you out. Mastered for vinyl by Simon Francis and cut by Cicely Ralston for Alchemy at AIR Studios.

MUSICA TRANSONIC + MAINLINER Solid Static LP
Electrifying heavy sessions recorded in 1997 featuring the classic Mainliner + Musica Transonic lineup of Nanjo Asahito (High Rise), Kawabata Makoto (Acid Mother) and Yoshida Tatsuya (Ruins) driving into new divergently fried terrain(s). Here, Nanjo and co. are on a quest to find new directions, and while the sessions were for an abandoned Mainliner album, a good portion of Solid Static hews more closely to the moment-to-moment deconstructions of Musica Transonic. The propulsive ten-minute opening title track is a lost gem in the canon of Japanese psychedelia and rock and roll -- beginning with one of Mainliner's bludgeoning motor-psycho riffs, it veers off into auratic space, Kawabata's snake-charming guitar weaving around Nanjo's buzz-fire bass and Yoshida's multi-limbed drumming. Musica Transonic's improvised and jazz-informed take on psychedelic rock is writ across the distended rhythms and arcing bass and guitar lines that scrawl across "Prosecutor" and "Topsy Turvy," or the slurry of distorted tone that rolls through "Rot Way." Available for the first time on LP or any physical form aside from a clutch of CDR's sold at a few live dates in the late '90s. Housed in a custom die-cut, "Uni-Pak" style gatefold with metallic ink, spot finishes and matching La Musica inner sleeve.

ABRAMS FEATURING MALACHI FAVORS, MUHAL RICHARD Sightsong LP
2026 restock; originally released in 1976. "The reputation of members of the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), of which Abrams is a founding member, has long been one of adventurous, dangerous, and difficult music. But in fact, much of the music created out of this organization shows enormous appreciation of the blues and earlier jazz forms. Sightsong is a splendid case in point. The album opens with four duets (two dedicated to Chicago legends Wilbur Ware and Johnny Griffin) which have a swing, a groove, and a delicacy that no fan of 'straight-ahead' jazz could ignore. Favors, always one of the great underrated bassists in the music, provides a thick, soulful pulse and solos with huge imagination while Abrams always stays within the song's parameters which provide ample room for his creativity. As fine as these more 'traditional' numbers are, the standout piece is perhaps Favors' solo feature, the wonderfully titled 'Way Way Way Down Yonder.' Opening with what sounds like the riffled pages of a book, Favors then states the deep, bluesy theme with strutting authority and proceeds through one of the richest investigations of the string bass the listener is ever likely to hear. Sightsong is one of Abrams's finest recordings and is also perhaps the best showcase for Malachi Favors' talents outside of his seminal work with the Art Ensemble of Chicago."

Opening with "On The Swing" listeners are delighted by classic deep vibes with a modern twist. On remix duties, Mihai Popoviciu drops his trademark style, smoothing out the bumps for a deeper ride. Next up, "Behind The Glass" takes a similar path. Reaching a crescendo with muted acid undertones in the second half keeps attention high and the dancefloor full and happy. For his remix, Markus Homm takes it deeper with shades of Detroit.

HOWARD GROUP, NOAH Berlin Concert LP
2026 restock. Trost Records presents the latest release in its ongoing cooperation with Berlin's legendary FMP label, with the long overdue reissue of two classic live albums by the singular alto saxophonist Noah Howard, a key figure in New York's free jazz revolution during the 1960s. Berlin Concert was recorded live in the titular city in January of 1975 with a quartet featuring pianist Takashi Kako, bassist Kent Carter, drummer Oliver Johnson, and percussionist Lamont Hampton. It was released on the SAJ sub label in 1977. It deftly captures the full diapason of Howard's fiery art. Fueled by the propulsive swing of the great Oliver Johnson, bassist Kent Carter -- both Americans who spent many years living and working in Europe, including long stints with Steve Lacy -- and percussionist Lamont Hampton, Berlin Concert nonchalantly toggles between modal workouts, where Japanese pianist Takashi Kako invokes the ironclad drive of McCoy Tyner, and the needling fury of "New York Subway," summoning the all-out fury of the '60s New Thing. This album reinforces the scalding passion of Howard's playing, while simultaneously highlighting a stylistic depth and lyrical grace that's often overlooked in his music. Howard, who suffered a fatal cerebral hemorrhage in 2010, at age 67, has been duly celebrated for his work in the 1960s, but the return of this gem makes it plain he had plenty more to say. Recorded live by Jost Gebers on January 30th and 31st,1975 at the Quartier Latin in Berlin. Cover design by Wolf Walt. Photograph by Roberto Masotti. Produced by Jost Gebers. Originally released and published on FMP in 1977.

DI LOMBO, JOSEPH SCHIANO Le tact (Sound piece for Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson) LP
With Le Tact, Joseph Schiano di Lombo delivers a work of rare finesse, conceived as a posthumous conversation with photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. Through seven meditative pieces -- whose evocative titles echo the photographer's words when describing the art of creating an image -- this album explores the instinctive and delicate relationship that connects music and photography to everyday lives. Presented for the first time on stage during the 20th anniversary of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, Le Tact draws its inspiration from the photographer's art: a sensitive and respectful approach, capturing the essence of things without altering them. This spirit of discretion and precision is distilled by Joseph into his music, blending composition and improvisation with intuitive elegance. While Joseph composed and performed the piano, organ, synthesizer, clarinet, and guitar himself, he opened his arrangements for the first time to other musicians. Agnes Wasniewska (oboe), Barbara Misiewicz (cello), and Tomasz Baye Zietek (trumpet) bring their sonic textures, enriching this work, which is both intimate and collaborative. The album was recorded between Paris and Sopot (Poland) during a residency organized by the CNM. The album's title perfectly encapsulates its essence: Le Tact. This simple word, evoking both the sense of touch and artistic intuition, reflects the way Joseph composes -- with respect, humility, and attention to detail. Each note seems to float lightly, as if to preserve the serenity of the moment. Le Tact transcends genre boundaries. Between ambient music and contemporary art, this album invites listeners to slow down and truly listen. It is a tribute to the beauty of the world, captured with the subtlety of a photographer and the sensitivity of a musician.

LIEBING, CHRIS Evolver 2LP
Chris Liebing's first full solo techno LP, Evolver. The German techno don's LP features a host of collaborators across music, images, and artwork. Luke Slater, Charlotte De Witte, Speedy J, The Advent, Terence Fixmer, Pascal Gabriel, and Daniel Miller contribute to the music, while long-time collaborators Studio Bergfors deliver design, and legendary photographer Anton Corbijn shot Liebing for the project. The Evolver LP is the sum total of Chris Liebing's three decades at the beating heart of techno. It's the record only someone whose first break as a techno DJ was playing five hours at Sven V?th's infamous Omen in Frankfurt -- and who has ridden out every twist and turn of life and subcultures since, while remaining rooted in the true school, dark, sweaty techno sweat pits of the world - could have made. It's the result of deep introspection, but it's about utter immediacy. It's the sound of someone previously driven along by compulsion and happenstance at last finding the confidence to be utterly intentional about their practice, allowing them to take the most classic, familiar, proven elements from the past and render them completely new. Evolver is also Liebing's first completely solo album. There are collaborations, yes: with old friends from the OG techno generation, Luke Slater, Speedy J, and The Advent, all on uncompromising form, and with new generation figurehead Charlotte De Witte, who provides a thrilling narration of total surrender to the moment on acid clarion call "Symphonie des Seins." But unlike all Liebing's albums to date, there's no co-pilot. Every structure, every mixdown, every choice serves his singular vision of how his untold immersion in the surging currents of the world's greatest clubs should sound. The elements are all those forged in the white heat of Omen and Tresor in the mid-'90s -- brutal repetition, titanium kick drums, industrial atmospherics, but also dark rave euphoria, ever present surging acid lines just on the cusp of trance, and just enough human voices to remind you of bodies on the dance floor -- but rendered with all the extraordinary accumulated skill and technological developments since then.

VATH X WOLFGANG HAFFNER, SVEN Fusion 12"
Wolfgang Haffner is one of Europe's most respected jazz drummers, known for his impeccable sense of timing, groove, and atmosphere. Though rooted in jazz, his musical language transcends genre boundaries, guided by pulse and subtle nuance rather than tradition alone. For Cocoon Recordings, he now enters an entirely new dialogue, offering warm, organic reinterpretations that honor the spirit of the source material while opening a fresh sonic horizon. The result is a meeting of two artistic worlds where Sven V?th's timeless energy and Haffner's refined touch flow naturally into a new musical form, an encounter between two artistic universes, merging into something both unexpected and deeply musical.

VA Never Eclipsed: Dancehall From Philip Smart's HC&F Studio 1985-1996 LP
"Following the well-received Prince Philip Presents 2LP compilation, here's a lovely overview of the second phase of Philip's career, as engineer and producer at his own studio, HC&F. These ten tracks comprise our favorites from his production catalog, spanning the mid '80s when the studio really got going, right up until 1996 and his last set of proper productions. The album holds a mix of well-known classics like the Garnett Silk, lesser-known album only cuts like the Frankie Paul, NY dancehall 12" staples like the Scion Success or Shelene, as well as some lesser-known gems. This album also contains two previously unreleased cuts -- a wicked mid '80s Tony Tuff, and the wild vocoder laden 1985 theme song for Philip's 'Get Smart' radio show, which ran for many many years on New York University's WNYU radio station."

SMART/GUSSIE CLARKE, LEROY So Much Things (1979 Dubplate Mix)/Hot Steppers Dub 7"
"Apex militant late '70s style here, if you think you are into steppers you should have this one firmly in your sights. One of Mr. Smart's hardest records, this originally appeared only as an album track, but also had some fame as a dubplate played at the time by Jah Shaka and others. The A-side features the raw dubplate cut vocal, no horns or other adornment, HARD to the point stepping drum and bass style. The B-side features the original Gussie Clarke dub mix aptly titled 'Hot Steppers,' also previously released only on album. This cut as well was run on dubplate back at the time, a killer mix with full horns but no vocal. CLARKE/RANKING TREVOR, JOHNNY Warrior/Whip Them Jah Jah 7"
"Back to back deep roots here. Both sides produced by Niney the Observer on one of Augustus Pablo's all-time masterpieces, the 555 Crown Street rhythm. The A-side is Johnny Clarke chanting out 'Warrior,' then flip it over for Ranking Trevor, one of the most underrated deejays ever, breezing out over a dubbed cut with plenty of our beloved bleeps. These were undoubtedly dubplates at the time they were made in the '70s, but both first released later, the Johnny Clarke on CD in the 1990s, and the Ranking Trevor actually much earlier in 1979, when the late great Dave Hendley released it on his Sufferers Heights label. Both tunes have been issued in a couple forms since, but not in quite a while; top shelf essential material."

ABRAMS, JOSHUA Music For Pulse Meridian Foliation LP
"Joshua Abrams' Music for Pulse Meridian Foliation is the aural manifestation of an art installation described as 'an in-between space and access point to a pulsating experience that connects body and land.' Like the action of a slow-spiraling coil, the music information here revolves in dappling light, an evolution drawn slowly, magnetically forward, resonating there and back again. Deep-reaching in elemental movement, it leaves traces and echoes in the air -- and in our ears, as our own experience evolves. Joshua originally created this music as a four-channel installation to accompany Lisa Alvarado's Pulse Meridian Foliation exhibition at REDCAT in downtown Los Angeles. Written for two violas (both played by James Sanders), harmonium (Lisa), and electronics (Joshua), it was designed to play on a loop throughout the gallery's open hours between April 1 and August 20, 2023. When playing with Natural Information Society, Joshua's writing is directed toward the form of the music as uniquely occupied by the group. Here, he wrote in strict dialogue with the exhibit, responding with choices in composition, performance and production on Music for Pulse Meridian Foliation. A key interpretation of the exhibition is voiced by Josh in the hand-off of information between the two violas as they weave together from oppositional points across the sound stage. In mixing the original surround sound down to two channels, Joshua worked toward the small details from left to right, placing former residents of triangulated speaker planes in a congenial spot on our present stereo azimuth -- realizing, in the careful growth of this auricular border ecosystem, an essential aspect of the Pulse Meridian Foliation exhibit. In her exhibit, Lisa Alvarado inhabits the process of foliation, in which extreme environmental pressures upon rocks evoke a new crystallization and a changed minerality. For Alvarado personally, this is a matrix through which she can consider time and changes, specifically the politics of change, and dialogues that multiply over distinct chapters of history. On Music for Pulse Meridian Foliation, she asks, 'How does memory transform and live within the body?' and, in collaboration with Joshua Abrams, a transformation is enacted."

PELTIER, TOMMY Echo Park (The 70's Sessions) LP
"Tommy Peltier's Echo Park, compiled of unheard tapes from the early/mid 1970s, brings listeners into contact with a long-extinct creature -- equal parts slinky hipster, universal soldier of the heart and snuggly loverman -- the light-rockin' tinseltown troubadour, the likes of which hasn't been served around Hollywood since 1979! Tommy's somewhere in the tuneful tradition of Rupert Holmes, Stephen Bishop, Andrew Gold, David Batteau and of course, Captain Fantastic and the Thin White Duke. His soulful songs and high-pitched vocals are paired with the requisite chopsy, jazz-enriched LA players, entrancing the ear with grooves and performances both tasty and sweet. Mixed and mastered with great zest by Jim O'Rourke, Echo Park is an encompassing trip through a whole other time and place. A trumpet player since childhood, Tommy felt no need for pop music; he'd come of age during the west coast jazz explosion of the 1950s, hearing Gerry Mulligan and Chet Baker's legendary performances at The Haig Club, just a mile west of MacArthur Park. Inspired by the departures of the Ornette Coleman Quartet, he founded The Jazz Corps in 1963, gigging all around town, including a residency at Hermosa Beach's also-legendary Lighthouse. In '68, he met aspiring singer/songwriter Judee Sill. He found her energy amazing, as she played bass in a group he was sitting in with, and it quickly became clear -- he and Judee were in tune! When Tommy picked up the guitar and started writing songs, she was there with help and encouragement. As the '70s dawned, Tommy was turning 35, but he was also turning the page, like so many others, to find something amazing there on the other side. Amazing music things flow freely up and down the tracklist of Echo Park. Inspired by Yes, Supertramp, ELO, Queen, Bowie, The Beatles and others, Tommy developed and honed his new music throughout the '70s. A handful of the cuts here were recorded between 1970 and '73, just a mile from Echo Park Lake, at an unassuming rear house set back in the hills. Other tracks were recorded at sessions in Hollywood in 1975 and '76, at now-obscure studios like Music Grinder and Heritage. Tommy's first pop band, Jasmine, appear on 'Here Today'. Tommy has continued to play music, releasing new stuff with Plastic Theatre Art Band in 1996, and a number of releases under his own name, most recently in 2011."

SHEPP & MAL WALDRON, ARCHIE Left Alone Revisited LP
"'Left Alone' is the legendary theme that Mal Waldron composed for Billie Holiday, for whom he was the last pianist. With Archie Shepp, another admirer of the singer and, like him, a great lover of duets, Waldron revisits some of the tunes associated with this unique voice. Modesty and emotion are present, and while the shadow of the great Billie hovers over this session, it is not the painful and tortured image that listeners often associate with her, but a benevolent figure who communicates to the saxophonist and the pianist an expressive force, a sweetness and a fullness of sound that go straight to the heart, and make a place for themselves there for a long time, right next to the most intimate emotions. Remarkable."

Now the album is available again on vinyl, as a double LP with two bonus tracks, "Moir? (Guitar & Horns)" and "Poren", B-sides from Tendency EP (2000)."Don't be misled by the title, though for there isn't a finger-snapping rhythm bebop lead anywhere on the album. Instead, Jelinek chooses to explore the visual effect moir? - two shifting patterns creating an implied third dimension - in the audio realm." --Alternative Press"The title acts as explanation for the studio technique that provided the basis for this album, snippets of other people's arrangements deconstructed through a sampler into loops and then splashed onto an audio canvas." --ATM"Jelinek's sound evolved out of his dislike for (and inability to play) keyboards." --RPM"Jelinek has abstracted his sources beyond recognition, looping his millisecond samples into flickering patterns of sonic moir? laid atop a dub techno framework. . . . Jelinek might as well have sampled a horn player's hissing intake of breath - it would have been 'jazz' enough for his purposes." --The Wire"It's a perfect inversion of conventional music, a sonic negative. Everything that would typically be foreground is moved back or pushed off the screen altogether, and the flecks of sonic debris that would normally be covered by other sounds are left to carry the melody and rhythm." --Pitchfork"All you need to know is that these onomatopoeic non-specific songs . . . are warm, paradisiacal creations." --NME"Listen carefully and you'll hear textures slowly unfolding and mutating. Presuming you've not fallen asleep of course." --iDJ"At times, it's all a bit dripping tap Japanese water torture; so sedentary it drowns in its own motionlessness" --DJ"Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records is a genuine modern classic whose re-release is anything but a cynical mortgage repayment exercise. Consider this a second chance, then pretend you had it all along." --Boomkat

Continually pushing the boundaries of jazz, funk, electronic music and disco, as expressed through their signature samba swing, the Brazilian mavericks Azymuth, have recreated the energy of those spellbinding seventies sessions which would launch them into international recognition and confirm their status as one of Brazil's most successful bands. Since the passing of keyboard maestro Jose Roberto Bertrami in 2012, remaining members Ivan Conti and Alex Malheiros have worked tirelessly to keep the spirit of Azymuth alive, and to continue the legacy of Bertrami's genius. But F?nix also marks a new era as the Azymuth trio is complete once again, by special guest keyboardist Kiko Continentino. A hugely talented pianist, composer and arranger, Kiko has worked with the likes of Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil and Djavan, and the fresh energy and inspiration he has brought to the group is undeniable. The album also features Brazilian percussion legend Robertinho Silva, one of Brazil's most important and influential players. From the disco-carnival title track to sunny jazz-funk head-nodder "Orange Clouds", through to the deep-space samba "Corumb?", Azymuth have drawn upon five decades of consummate craftsmanship which, coupled with their endless desire for experimentation and improvisation, has resulted in a ten-track journey encapsulating the full spectrum of Azymuth's brilliantly colored expressionist fusion. With all the cosmic energy and masterful musicianship you'd expect from the three-man orchestra, Azymuth rise from the ashes! Recorded in Rio De Janeiro in May 2016 with producers Daniel Maunick and Joe Davis.

OREYEON The Grotesque Within CD
Also available on black vinyl (HPS 361LP), green vinyl (HPS 361LTD-LP), and striped vinyl (HPS 361ULTRA-LP). "The Grotesque Within is what we proudly call our first true self-produced album. Recorded in the winter of 2025 between Outside Inside Studio in Treviso and our own home studio, it marks a raw and uncompromising chapter in our sound. The record weaves a dense narrative inspired by the unsettling atmosphere found in the works of Thomas Ligotti -- where reality constantly threatens to unravel, and horror seeps into the everyday. Much like Ligotti's existential tales, The Grotesque Within doesn't simply portray darkness -- it observes how the absurd and the horrific have become indistinguishable from our modern reality. Each track is a confrontation -- with the bizarre, the dissonant, and the disturbingly familiar. This is not just an album. It's a descent into the uncanny that already surrounds us." --Oreyeon

WEEDPECKER V CD
"I started writing the songs for V at the beginning of 2023, and the demos were finished by the end of that year. While creating this material, I kept returning to one thought: everything we take for granted -- everything that feels stable and permanent -- is, in reality, incredibly fragile. Nothing lasts forever, and the sense of things slipping away can hit much sooner than we expect. I tried to translate those feelings into sound. At that time, a lot of difficult things were happening in my life, things I didn't know how to cope with. Music became a form of therapy -- a way to process emotions I couldn't express in any other way. In early 2024, we began working through the songs together as a full band. After finalizing the arrangements, we spent the rest of the year recording them. The process stretched over many months, split into several sessions across different studios. I didn't want to rush anything. I wanted, as always, to refine every detail the best we possibly could." --Weedpecker. WEDDING PRESENT, THE Maxi (Red Vinyl) LP
"In 1996, The Wedding Present released Mini -- an EP featuring six tracks that all had connections to motoring. Almost thirty years on, David Gedge has revisited the concept with Maxi, a brand-new, six-track EP which is again loosely based around the theme of driving. Although Maxi follows the same concept as Mini, the current model of The Wedding Present's vehicle is discernibly grander, with Gedge hinting that guitarist Rachael Wood -- who was new to the band at the time of writing - might be one of the reasons why. 'Scream, If You Want To Go Faster' -- the opening track -- mesmerizes with a slow-building, post-rock feel before it revs up to set the EP's tone and flows into the infectious riff of 'Grand Prix' -- itself driven forward by the complexities of Wood's playing. 'Hot Wheels' and 'Two For The Road' -- tracks three and four -- are unmistakably Wedding Present. Gedge's urgent guitar playing and lyrics shine their headlights on the challenges of the heart, and allow the listener to return to terra firma with a more familiar sound that effortlessly stands alongside classic Wedding Present releases. 'Interceptor' -- track five -- is steered by the bass until a roaring guitar and pounding drums shift gears to bring the listener back full circle to the post-rock feel of Maxi's opening track. Crossing the EP's finishing line is the epic 'Silver Shadow', another track that shifts in tempo, evoking a feeling of tenderness alongside the elated emotion of finding the one. Maxi undoubtedly takes the listener on a journey. This really is The Wedding Present at their creative best, pushing both the boundaries of their sound and the expectations of the listener, while the lyrics provocatively paint pictures in a way that only David Gedge can manage. This version is the red vinyl indie exclusive variant."

SERVICIO AL CLIENTE Alien Tropical 10"
Alien Tropical: the perfect title for the second album by Servicio Al Cliente (Customer Service), the project of Colombian-born, Berlin-resident Juliana Martinez. If you were cannily seduced by the debut self-titled Servicio Al Cliente album, from way back in 2021, the wait for a follow-up has felt long, but Alien Tropical was worth the wait: an album full of play and spirit, verve and sparkle, rich with pop spirit and with one eye smartly cocked toward the dancefloor. That first Servicio Al Cliente album was a smart statement of intent, and a wonderful, unexpected turn from Martinez, who'd already been through plenty: being expelled from private music lessons, training in law, joining a group named Las Palabras Correctas. 2021's Servicio Al Cliente landed on the turntables of anyone with discerning radar. With Alien Tropical, Martinez works the sensual sway of her music even harder, building six luscious songs that twist chant-like repetitions into hypnotic mantras, each song the perfect confluence of melody and mystery. When asked about Alien Tropical, Martinez pieces together fragments of memory: winter explorations, long road trips, navigating the highways and the heart. "I had been driving a lot at the time on the highway," she recalls. "I depended on music I played in the car to manage my emotions and my thoughts on those long drives. Everything felt strange and unfamiliar on the highway, and I realized music was so psychological and my only tool to influence my feelings between highways and new places." So, the music becomes the narrative for where the body and the heart want to go. That might explain the gentle yearning in Alien Tropical, and its eternal hypnotic, its sense of forever forward-motion, as though the music is flickering like the highway strip reflected in the rear-view mirror. But there's also the skyward movement of the melodies, the way their loveliness lifts these six songs up through the clouds, like the helium balloons on the cover. From the sensual swelter of "Suelta Por La Pampa" to the shimmering tones and clacking keys of the closing title track, it's a spirited encounter: "a feeling," Martinez confirms, "an encounter with my synths in a place I needed to be."

FAKE, NATHAN Evaporator LP
LP version. Clear bio-vinyl. As Nathan Fake rises from the nocturnal subterranea and rave catharsis of his previous records, on Evaporator, he resurfaces into the domain of daylight, bringing a tangible sense of air rushing against your face, of big skies, and endless landscapes. The idea of pop accessibility that trickled into 2023's Crystal Vision is refracted here through the prism of sweeping ambient, deep electronica, and trance uplift. Evaporator is Fake's idea of "airy daytime music," with each track a different barometer reading across the album's varying atmospheres, which range from vibrant sunbursts, bracing rainscapes, and fine mists of clement melodics. Border Community alumni Dextro AKA Ewan Mackenzie transmutes his ferocious drumming for Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs into the blurred choral thump of "Baltasound." "Orbiting Meadows," meanwhile, is his second collaboration with Clark, an eerily idyllic duet where microtonal 18EDO piano clangs slowly twirl around wailing pads. Evaporator marks the junction point of old technology and ever fresh creativity for Nathan. Evaporator continues to prove his necessary presence, with some of his most engaging, varied, and magical music yet.

GLASS, PHILIP Figures of Glass: Piano Etudes - Edits (Performed by Vanessa Wagner) LP
With Figures of Glass (Piano Etudes - Edits), Vanessa Wagner offers a new listening perspective on Philip Glass's Piano ?tudes, shaping a curated selection of edited versions drawn from her acclaimed recording of the complete cycle. These edits do not alter the substance of the works; rather, they refine their temporal focus, revealing their emotional force with renewed clarity. Conceived in parallel with Figures of Glass, a hybrid project developed with visual arts collective Scale, the release extends a dialogue between piano and light, sound and space. Between piano and light, Vanessa Wagner interprets Glass's ?tudes at the heart of a scenographic installation, exploring the visual imagination embedded in the composer's music. Minimal structures become spatial gestures; repetition opens onto perception, color, and resonance. Taken together, these edits form a coherent arc through Glass's language: from tension and propulsion to suspension and introspection, from rhythmic urgency to contemplative stillness. Wagner's approach is marked by precision, restraint, and a deep attention to resonance, allowing each piece to unfold with an assumed expressive sobriety. Bridging modern classical piano, minimalist writing, and spatial listening formats, Figures of Glass (Piano Etudes - Edits) speaks equally to traditional classical audiences and new listeners discovering Philip Glass through curated, editorial-driven experiences.

DAVIDS, KAT Winterswell 12"
Winterswell threads together raw emotion, playful rhythms, and analog warmth. Following singles on Tresor and Intercept Records, Kat pulls no punches with her first EP. "Manavgat" hurtles you down a dirt road at dusk, brooding and atmospheric, while "Baby I Know What You Want" threads vocals through rolling percussion and a driving bass as the club thrives in unison. Remixes extend the EP's landscape: Mr. G reshapes the material into grainy, coded dub house textures, while Ben Kaczor emphasizes low-end depth and taut, hypnotic tension. Winterswell is a vinyl release where intimacy, texture, and rhythm converge with confidence and nuance.

HINO QUINTET, TERUMASA Into The Heaven LP
2026 restock. Gatefold packaging. Le Tres Jazz Club can't really say that Japanese jazzmen benefit (not justify in fact) from a great international fame. However, trumpet player Terumasa Hino is an exception, undoubtedly because since the '70s he has collaborated with numerous American musicians: Gary Burton, Roy Haynes, Herbie Hancock -- on Into the Heaven, which was released in 1970, Terumasa Hino is surrounded by the same musicians as on Hi- Nology (LTJC 016LP), released a year earlier: his brother Motohiko Hino on drums, Hiromasa Suzuki on electric piano, Kunimitsu Inaba on electric bass, and Takeru Muraoka on tenor sax. The eponymous piece, which lasts more than 20 minutes, is a jazz fusion giving room to choruses and which is reminiscent of the music that Miles Davis then o?ered. B side opens with "Love More Train," a brilliant and long hard bop song, while the album closes melancholy with the peaceful "Feeling Blues As You Are Feeling."

HINO QUINTET, TERUMASA Hi-Nology LP
2025 restock; gatefold packaging. Terumasa Hino is undoubtedly one of the most famous Japanese jazzmen. Learning the trumpet at the age of nine, he began his career as a professional musician by playing in the orchestra of an US Army base, before joining Hideo Shiraki's Quintet and then forming his own band in 1964. On Hi-Nology, his brother Motohiko Hino appears on drums, Hiroma Suzuki on electric piano, Kumitsu Inaba on electric bass and Takeru Muraoka on tenor sax. The inspiration from the "electric period" of Miles Davis (notably Miles In The Sky released in 1968) is felt and is even accepted, since the opening piece is entitled "Like Miles." Coincidentally, Hi-Nology was recorded on July 31, 1969, the day after the release of In a Silent Way and has nothing to envy of this great record by Miles Davis.

RADIGUE, ELIANE Songs of Milarepa 2CD
2026 restock. Originally released on Lovely Music in 1998. Double CD of all five of Elaine Radigue's songs in tribute to the Tibetan saint and poet from the 11th century. Two of the tracks dates from Radigue's first release in 1983, two are previously unreleased and the final 62-minute track was previously issued as a sole CD in 1987. The material is performed by Radigue (synthesizer and recording), Robert Ashley (English voice), and Lama Kunga Rinpoche (Tibetan voice). Radigue was born in France and has studied under Pierre Shaeffer and Pierre Henry; her music has an extremely organic and mystical electronics vibe, and has been previously documented on Phill Niblock's XI label, as well as Metamkine and Lovely. Milarepa is a great saint and poet of Tibet who lived in the 11th century. Through years dedicated to meditation and related practices in the solitude of the mountains, Milarepa achieved the highest attainable illumination and the mental power that enabled him to guide innumerable disciples. His ability to present complex teachings in a simple, lucid style is astonishing. He had a fine voice and loved to sing. When his patrons and disciples made a request or asked him a question, he answered in spontaneously composed free-flowing poems or lyric songs. It is said that he composed 100,000 songs to communicate his ideas in his teachings and conversations.

RADIGUE, ELIANE Jetsun Mila 2CD
2026 restock. Originally released on Lovely Music in 1987. Jetsun Mila is inspired by the life of Milarepa, a great yogi and poet of Tibet who lived in the 11th century. The story of his life as told to his closest disciple, Rechungpa, represents one of the most famous works within Tibetan culture. The Mila Kabum, or Namthar, has been translated into several Western languages, including English and French. Eliane Radigue's 84-minute musical evocation of Milarepa's life is in nine sections, with prelude, which correspond to major periods of the life of this famous yogi. The sections flow from one to the other without breaks, one giving birth naturally to the next. Performed (Arp synthesizer) and recorded digitally by Eliane Radigue. Other Music's Michael Klausman review of the work: "Jetsun Mila eschews text in favor of a purely electronic treating of his storied life via nine passages that slowly and seamlessly flow into one another. Radigue is one of the most perceptually disorienting composers I've ever heard, her exploration of inaudible subharmonics and overtones has a way of physically changing the landscape of the room her music inhabits, and it becomes difficult to sort out what the reality is between what you're perceiving and actually hearing. Jetsun Mila is deeply meditative, with some passages conjuring the random patterns of bells blowing in the stark mountains and valleys of Tibet, while others have the sustained power and near violence of Tibetan ritual horns. Her genius is that she achieves those effects through allusion rather than mimicry, trusting in the listener's ability to pursue the truth just as Milarepa did with his inscrutable words of wisdom."

DES CODA Mean Field Mutation LP
Mean Field Mutation is a thermodynamic phenomenon occurring just below the vaporization point of voracious growth. It relies on the debris of false and almost forgotten narratives. Astral residue of consumer angst, echoes of obsolete newspeak and oscillations of promotional imbecilities collide with free floating particles hovering under the radar of the megamachine. In steady intervals, this results in a meltdown producing random waves of reconfigurations driven by cryptic but sanguine naivety. Released on Lustpoderosa, Mean Field Mutation is the first musical output by Des Coda. Written and produced by Piero Scherer during the pandemic winter of 2021 in his bedroom studio in Zurich. Moving between playful serenity and feral distortion, it was produced by layering sounds from field recordings, radio and TV clips, as well as sequences from drum machines and analogue synthesizers. Taking a stance against commercial copyright, all stems of this production are available for download free of charge and ready to be reappropriated. Des Coda is an open field for collaborative, cultural experiments beyond the conventional understanding of authorship and representation. It engages with an artistic position that defines the creative process as an interplay between context and concept. The resulting work is not a rigid product of authoritarian ingenuity, but a sensitive, living organism guided by the tensions between society and individual. Des Coda is the zestful curiosity rummaging through the rubble of the present in search of future aesthetics.

POLAR INERTIA Pi 3LP
MTY-3.14, ? is the fifth and final chapter of a journey begun in 2011. This standard edition presents the final form of Polar Inertia across three 12" vinyl records, featuring 11 tracks. Nothing added, nothing removed -- only the music, unfolding in full. Images dissolve, words fall away. What remains are faint echoes, like footprints slowly erased in fresh snow. This final opus does not close the path. It fades into it. ? is not an ending, but a state: the moment where movement continues, even as the world turns silent. Polar Inertia examines the enigmatic and blurry realms, embracing the art of obscured vision. Encountering the collective Polar Inertia is much like being absorbed by fog and captivated by its ever-shifting forms and densities, with things being as indistinguishable as in a whiteout. Formed in 2010 by a group of artists, Polar Inertia transcends visibility, delving into structures that lie beyond the public gaze. Layers upon layers intertwine within the fabric of Polar Inertia, extending beyond their profound electronic compositions and live performances. It manifests as a conceptual universe, where sound, monochrome aesthetics, and elusive narratives converge, much like trying to grasp the intangible fog. The entity that is Polar Inertia is involved in installations, print- and video work and texts created for different contexts and live in different spheres such as Palais de Tokyo in Paris or the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art. Still, clubs and festivals are perfect spaces to experience these nebulous soundworlds and immerse in them. Fittingly, some of Polar Inertia's appearances include the colossal halls of Berghain and Bassiani and at experimental festivals like Mutek Montreal and Atonal Berlin, that like to break with the classic club conventions. Polar Inertia's sonic landscape unfolds with wafting textures accompanied by resonating beats and drones, reverberating through empty spaces, merging with the vast expanse of nothingness. Their sound exists at the crossroads of ambient, experimental, and deep techno, interwoven with vocal narratives. Since their inaugural release Indirect Light on Dement3d Records in 2011, they remain a stronghold of relevance and captivation in the electronic domain. Mastered by sixbitdeep, with artistic direction by Diplomatie Studio.

NOTWIST, THE News from Planet Zombie CD
With News from Planet Zombie, The Notwist return to view after years of exploration and experiment with an album rich in both melancholy and positivity, sketched across a suite of thrilling, fiercely committed pop songs. It's an album reflecting a chaotic world, but responding with warmth and generosity, to achieve creative and spiritual consolidation. Recorded in their home base of Munich, it reconnects with the security of the local to explore the troubles of the global: a guiding impulse writ large across this album's eleven songs. For News from Planet Zombie, the core trio of Markus and Micha Acher and Cico Beck embraced the plural possibilities of writing together, bringing songs to the collective and then arranging, rehearsing and recording that material live, in the studio. The result is an album that's energized, fully in "the now", with spectacular moments where you can hear the magic bubbling up in the dynamic between the Achers, Beck, and fellow members Theresa Loibl, Max Punktezahl, Karl Ivar Refseth, and Andi Haberl. The openness to chance also takes in guest turns from friends both local and international, reflective of a cosmopolitan Munich: Enid Valu joins in on vocals, while Haruka Yoshizawa guests on taish?goto and harmonium, Tianping Christoph Xiao on clarinet, and Mathias G?tz on trombone. The Notwist aren't best known for cover versions, but News from Planet Zombie features two: a gorgeous version of Neil Young's "Red Sun" (from 2000's Silver & Gold), and a take on Athens, Georgia folk-pop gang Lovers' "How the Story Ends." They slot into the album's narrative perfectly, nestling in like old friends, revealing The Notwist as poetic interpreters. Also available on black vinyl (MORR 207LP) and orange color vinyl (MORR 207ORA-LP).

PANIAGUA, GREGORIO Batiscafo LP
2026 repress. Munster Records presents a reissue of Batiscafo by Gregorio Paniagua. Immersed in an age of re-releases and the pursuit of rarities, hidden gems and marvels, record labels are constantly rediscovering musical jewels, which previously only collectors have had the chance to own. Batiscafo is one of these elusive treasures. First released in 1980 on the label Hispavox, the album disappeared after a short run and no further editions in any format have been available until now, in spite of the huge level of interest shown by fans to get their hands on a vinyl record in mint condition by this outstanding musical oddity made in Spain. Paniagua is a classically trained musician and scholar of music with an extensive and fruitful history of researching, recording and rediscovering ancient music, varying from Las Cantigas de Santa Mar?a del Rey Alfonso X El Sabio (which earned him a gold record in Japan), to Andalus?an music from Spain's past or compositions from ancient Greece, as well as playing with the vocal and instrumental ensemble Atrium Musicae, which toured across the world to great critical acclaim. In 1980, Paniagua embarked on a solo project, moving from the classical to the pop department at Hispavox. He shut himself off from the world every night for a whole month to record Batiscafo. Assisted solely by a sound technician at the controls of the latest mixing desk, his instruments and brilliant inventiveness, he managed to create this gem, a record that seeks to emulate Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells (1973) and which vanished all too soon, becoming the Holy Grail of Spanish experimental music. Batiscafo anticipated a wave of avant-garde Spanish music in the '80s with key figures such as Suso S?iz, Pep Llopis, Ishinoana, or Finis Africae, who are now being rediscovered and admired outside Spain. It is a highly original and imaginative record that continues to surprise listeners forty years on, with its bold combination of early electronic music, classicism, experimentation and psychedelia. It's a masterpiece that endures the test of time. Remastered from the original tapes, includes facsimile artwork and liner notes, on 180 gram vinyl.

2026 restock. This is the demo recording sessions from Television in 1974 under Brian Eno's guidance. The A side demos were recorded at Good Vibrations Studios in NYC with Richard Hell on bass, and produced by Brian Eno and Richard Williams of Island Records. It also includes three live tracks from CBGB's in 1975 including the unreleased "(I Look At You And Get A) Double Exposure", the band never recorded in studio. An abrasive 13th Floor Elevators number and the iconic Richard Hell "(I Belong To The) Blank Generation". It is fascinating listening to the early versions of these songs that eventually appeared on Marquee Moon. Each version is distinctly different having a "harder edge" to them and closer to the final released editions. Sound quality: very good stereo.

BCUC The Road Is Never Easy CD
BCUC -- Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness -- have been channeling the spirit of Soweto for over twenty years. Indigenous funk, hip-hop consciousness, and punk rock energy fused into something utterly original and deeply rooted. Their mantra: Music for the people, by the people, with the people. From humble beginnings rehearsing in a shipping container, a stone's throw from the church where Desmond Tutu organized the escape of the most wanted anti-Apartheid activists, they kept believing in their dream of self-empowerment. The Road Is Never Easy is BCUC's fifth album and their debut on Outhere Records. On this new offering, BCUC take listeners on another Afro-psychedelic journey into the soul of Soweto. It feels like a gospel sermon colliding with a punk concert, "guaranteed to touch untapped corners of your soul" (OkayAfrica). BCUC's music is deeply rooted in history and echoes the voices of the ones who came before. The road was never easy for the people of Soweto who originally came to work in the mines of Egoli, the City of Gold, Johannesburg. When apartheid finally ended after a long struggle, it was hoped that life would improve. But more than 30 years later, many of those initial hopes and dreams are still waiting to be fulfilled. This album is about that struggle. The album contains 10 brand new songs -- a record for BCUC, whose previous albums featured an average of 3 songs. It represents the culmination of more than two decades of performing together and building a reputation as a powerful live act. These ten songs encapsulate that same live energy, each one building gradually and drawing you into BCUC's Afro-psychedelic stream of consciousness. It's a seismic tour de force through life in Soweto today. The album cover is based on a matchbox design, matches being a common household item in South Africa even today. The Road Is Never Easy is a heavy spiritual road trip, a deep dive into the subconscious of Soweto and a quest for truth, justice and sanity in this crazy world. BCUC tackle the harsh realities of the voiceless, guided by the spirit world of their ancestors. Rather than reinforcing stereotypes of poverty, BCUC's portrayal of Africa is one rich in tradition, rituals and beliefs.

STONEWALL Stonewall LP
2026 restock. "First officially licensed release ever. 'So you're addicted to hard rock from 1972 and getting tired of LPs that don't take you for the full ride. You check out tons of 'em. Stonewall? Hmmm... only the most potent and rare stuff can get you off nowadays. Kicks intense enough to remind you why you got into it in the first place. Jams you can't wait to lay on your friends so uncontrollably alive you know it's gonna wipe 'em out. Yeah... you really need Stonewall. It's ritual time. Drop the needle into the groove. Side One. Stoned swaggering confidence, attitude and energy right out of the gate. Stonewall immediately take charge with 'Right On', an 'incite-the-audience, invoke-the-jams' renegade rocker akin to 'Are You Ready?' by Grand Funk or 'Combination of the Two' by Big Brother conceptually but taken way further. I can't say more without some sort of spoiler alert. To mess with your head, after a near cluster-fuck with the audience in the opening track comes 'Solitude'. No problem. 'Solitude, it do not bother me... drifting from mountains to the endless sea... oh, I'm flying by myself, I don't a-need nobody else'. After a savage encounter with 'Bloody Mary' the side ends with my favorite track. As soon as the guitar riff ignites 'Outer Spaced' you know you're gonna get crushed. The singer is taunting 'hey baby this ain't no come on to impress you" tossing purple planets and pure white galaxies into the mix and sneering like an outcast "I'm out in the wind and rain and snow, breaking may back!' Attitude. Climax. 'Outer space... God I'm out of my mind!' If that sounds like a rush, wait until you hear the music. It's a perfect storm. A perfect side. The band destroys, the arrangements are concise and the singer is a total trip. I hear people all over the world saying Stonewall is a 'Holy Grail'. I agree. 'Holy Grail' status for an LP requires the most extreme and exciting combination of quality and rarity. That's not all. It has to have mystery. It has to reek of humanity. There can be no other LP that beats it at its game. Top dog. It has to be a mindfuck capable of destroying anybody who hears it, including those who have previously only experienced the usual killer classics. Finding a copy must come as close to impossible as possible and remain that way even after everybody knows about it. As an original pressing, Stonewall fulfills all of the 'Holy Grail' requirements and I am jacked that a legitimate reissue finally happens some 30 odd years after it first blew me away! As far as I know, I was the first person to put an original copy up for sale on the collector scene. People were very secretive back then, so maybe a couple other copies were hidden out there in private collections. In the late '80s, I listed it in one of my 'Sound Effects' rare record catalogs for $60 mint condition after a cursory listen. Hmmm... cool hard rock, I thought, but I was mainly into weirdo records at the time. Like a numbskull, I initially failed to detect what was obviously one of the biggest monsters I ever held in my hands. A week or so later, a second listen utterly floored me. I got it. It got me. The heaviest collectors in the world at the time had a chance to grab it for $60, but no one did. Whew... close call. An unknown monster. The search was on. Find the band. Due to the Tiger Lily Morris Levy tax scam label vibes, I knew even if I found Stonewall, it was unlikely they had any LPs stashed in the attic. I knew that quite possibly (as time has shown), the band didn't even know the LP existed. I failed to find the band, so in desperation, I turned my attention to locating that mythical wall of Tiger Lily label LPs supposedly out somewhere in a rehouse on Long Island. People around here used to whisper in awed tones about that, but I think they were most likely whispering about somebody's hallucination. Long ago, my original copy landed in an underground hurricane-proof bunker on the coast of Texas. I sold it for $2000 when I needed some green. The guy who scored it clearly wanted to keep it very safe and that was huge money for even a 'Holy Grail' hard rock monster at the time. Recently an original copy hit $14,000, and it makes sense! Stuff this good is priceless so now that you can get this reissue into your life for cheap, don't be a numbskull... Do It!' --Paul Major"

RAVEN Back To Ohio Blues LP
Limited 2026 restock. Permanent Records present this limited-edition reissue of Raven's "high"ly regarded 1975 wasted hard rock masterpiece, Back To Ohio Blues. More hard rock than blues, this stoned proto-punk record is one-of-a-kind and is finally being reissued with its original minimalist artwork. Fans of other wasted private press geniuses like Circuit Rider, George Brigman, and Heitkotter will absolutely want to file this on the shelf right next to the cheap beer filled mini-fridge to be enjoyed in the garage with the next six-pack/bong rips sesh. But don't take Permanent Records' word for it, here's what the heads at Acid Archives had to say about this rarity: "Messed up bluesy hard rock biker statement which I'm told comes straight from this guy's reality, no posing but the real thing. Great punky vocals relate stories on smack, sex, Ohio, Harleys and everything else that makes life worth living. Sample lyrics: 'gotta get high, gotta get f***ed, nail me to your cross'. An impressive intensity especially on side 1 and one of the few local white blues rock LP's that truly works. A classic of mid '70s local hard stoner dementia; would make a good double bill with the Merry Airbrakes." Unless you have $1250 in your piggy bank to spend on an OG, you shouldn't think twice about plunking your hard earned milk money down on this reissue, before it's gone again. Reissued with original artwork.

CRAIG, CARL Desire: The Carl Craig Story 2LP
2026 repress; double LP version. The official soundtrack to Jean-Cosme Delaloye's documentary about the life and career of Detroit techno pioneer Carl Craig, Desire: The Carl Craig Story is presented on 2x12" vinyl as well as CD. The collection, coming via his prolific and seminal Planet E Communications, features music from across Craig's vast catalog, including several tracks that have never previously seen full release. Its selections span his many aliases and projects, offering a rare glimpse into the full scope of his groundbreaking career. Among the rare and remastered tracks featured is "No More Words" -- originally released in 1991, newly reissued on vinyl and available digitally for the first time. A foundational track in the Detroit techno canon, "No More Words" captures the emotive synths and tight grooves of Craig's sound that would soon resonate across dance floors worldwide. Its reissue marks a moment of reflection on the genre's roots and evolution. Another remastered track from Craig's extensive archive is "The Truth," a deep cut from Craig's discography under his Designer Music alias, now widely available for the first time a quarter-century after its original release. The film's end credits are scored by the contemplative Meditation 4, an ambient production previously only available on Craig's 2013 Masterpiece compilation CD for Ministry of Sound. Iconic remixes such as his Grammy-nominated rework of Junior Boys' "Like A Child" is included alongside lesser-known but equally epic remixes such as his sublime 2012 mix of Slam's "Azure," which is employed for the film's title credits and had previously only seen a limited release. Also featured across the soundtrack's multiple formats are iconic Carl Craig productions under his 69, Psyche/BFC and Innerzone Orchestra aliases, and collaborations with Moritz von Oswald and Francesco Tristano. The soundtrack serves as a companion to the new documentary directed by Jean-Cosme Delaloye and produced by Sovereign Films, which follows Carl's journey from Detroit's middle-class roots to global stardom, set against the city's decline and recovery. The film explores his work at the intersection of music, art, and culture, from his collaborations with Bottega Veneta to his Party/After-Party installation, acquired by the Detroit Institute of Arts and exhibited at MOCA Los Angeles. Featuring interviews with Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, Laurent Garnier, DJ Minx, Kenny Larkin, Moritz von Oswald, and James Lavelle, Desire highlights Carl's championing of Detroit's Black creative excellence and the often-overlooked African-American roots of electronic music.

LANE, DANNY SCOTT House Of Alice LP
Danny Scott Lane is a New York-based musician, photographer and sound artist whose work drifts between jazz, ambient, and gentle funk. Originally an actor and singer before turning to photography, Lane brings a cinematic and emotional sensibility to his recordings -- music that feels intimate, tactile, and quietly surreal. He has scored films and commercials, and his eclectic taste has taken him to DJ booths around the world. Since his first tape release in 2019, Lane has released nine albums, five of them with WRWTFWW Records, each expanding his distinct blend of warmth, rhythm, and daydream. His tenth LP, House of Alice, welcomes back three-time collaborator David Lackner and introduces Michael Gagliardi, further deepening the reflective world Lane continues to build. The album's title is derived from the Alice Austen House. Danny took an interest in the prolific "street" photography of Alice where she often captured everyday life and intimate depictions of women's lives beautifully. Inspiring images that reflect in his own photography as well.

CLEARED Lustres CD
A note from Cleared: "Our approach to making records has always involved an exchange of individually created sounds, which are joined together through live improvisation, studio recording, and the use of diagrammatic visual scores. Over the last several years, we have been interested in expanding very small fragments of these discreet pieces of audio into long-form compositions. This process has resulted in a new approach to how we build tracks from the ground up. In this particular workflow, one of us is largely responsible for supplying the main cache of sounds, and the other is responsible for the processing and sequencing of those sounds. As we developed this kind of working relationship, the nature of the material has ventured into a palette that is more electronic. This is perhaps a result of the 'collage' aspect of how the audio is arranged inside of a digital environment, as well as our continued discovery and use of new digital processing tools. We are constantly attempting to extract as much as possible out of an initial collection of audio, which typically includes field recordings, synthesis experiments, bits of acoustic instrumentation, and found sounds. In many instances the original sounds are manipulated far beyond their recognizable characteristics, which creates new and unexpected results... Lustres is the most detailed and refined output of our studio practice using this method of exchanging sound material. The four tracks present a mood that, for us, is indicative of a kind of rolling celestial atmosphere. Simultaneously, there exists both a subterranean and starlit quality about the music. To us, it is not unlike the imagined terrain of a distant meteor or orbiting asteroid, alternating between the extremes of light and temperature as its path is slowly carved in a dark vacuum. It is music for contemplation and quiet reflection, as these are the states of listening we have come to greatly appreciate in our personal lives, and as the space in which we are most happy to have our music experienced. Lustres is a document being released as we near 15 years of the Cleared collaboration, and we hope it offers listeners a chapter of our story that, while rooted in our past material, advances the core discipline of what we have always pursued as our central theme: Patience."

HOLY FUCK Event Beat LP
"It has been years since Holy Fuck's last album, 2020's Deleter. In that time, the Canadian quartet -- Brian Borcherdt, Graham Walsh, Matt 'Punchy' McQuaid, and Matt Schulz -- spent two years apart, only to finally reconvene in a remote village hall in rural Nova Scotia in March 2022. What began as a simple reunion and rehearsal session soon flowed into new song ideas, becoming the starting point for their album Event Beat. At a time when music is increasingly AI-generated, Holy Fuck are more relevant than ever. They've built their reputation on forging electronic music with a profound human touch, keeping every element as live as possible, and favoring ragged energy and improvisation over staid, cold perfection. This is music where intuition and 'muscle memory' create an almost telepathic link between the four musicians. The unexpected circumstances of the recording sessions profoundly shaped the album. Faced with a storm that knocked out power (forcing the use of a generator) and a neighbor who objected to the volume, the band was challenged to make their signature sound while being as quiet as possible. This limitation unexpectedly resulted in 'low-key ambient things' and 'pastoral, vibey soundscapes.' However, hitting play on Event Beat reveals they brilliantly circumvented the idea of a purely ambient record. The album also comes in the wake of two major placements that led to an unexpected rediscovery: their track 'Tom Tom' was featured in the Amazon Prime Video hit animated series Invincible. Furthermore, 'Lost Cool' resurfaced in the Academy Award-winning body horror The Substance. With the sheer vibrancy of Event Beat and their conviction to keep going regardless of trends, Holy Fuck remain as relevant as ever. This album is a testament to the 'togetherness and the humanity in the music.'"

ENJI Sonor (Transparent Vinyl) LP
Transparent vinyl version. For a few fleeting moments during a sunset, the sky is cast a vivid shade of amber. A dramatic flare of color, a moment belonging to both the day and the night. It is within this vibrant, ephemeral world, that Mongolian-born, Munich-based Enji has written her album Sonor. Sonor is a reflection of Enji's personal evolution and the complex emotions that accompany living between two worlds. The album's themes revolve around the unplaceable feeling of being between cultures, not as a source of conflict, but as a space for growth and self-discovery. Enji explores how distance from her traditional Mongolian roots has shaped her identity, and how returning home brings a heightened awareness of these changes. Backed by a band of renowned jazz musicians (Elias Stemeseder on piano, Robert Landfermann on bass, Julian Sartorius on drums and co-composer Paul Br?ndle on guitar), Enji isn't just revisiting tradition, she's distilling the feeling of home, of small joys that reveal their significance only when viewed from afar. Like a familiar song hummed by a parent, her music captures the essence of belonging, not tied to a single place, but to the emotions and memories that shape humanity.

PILLBERT Memoria LP
On her debut LP Memoria, songwriter/producer Lilian Mikorey aka Pillbert contemplates themes of identity and belonging, hardships and heartbreak in her signature blend of bendy folk guitars, field recordings and intimate vocals. Moving to London from Munich, not yet 20 years old, Mikorey realized she was leaving her home behind for good. The subsequent state of being lost and alone in a place too temporary to start building the foundation for a new one led her to question the concept of home itself. Is it friends? Family? A house? "I started collecting objects, bones, sticks, stones and kept them close," she says, as to create a cosmos traveling with her. "I was tracing the actual feeling of being home to the point where I built a dreamhouse in my head, as an idea, just to evoke that feeling." Soon enough she would learn that yielding to the yearning of actually going to that house, must be an inevitably sad experience. A photo she took on a family visit to East-Munich became a reference and starting point for Memoria. It was a small house in her neighborhood, the windows lit as dusk sets in. To Mikorey, it looked haunting, radiating warmth but somehow looking abandoned at the same time. "I wanted to make music that sounds like this photo." She started recording the sounds of the objects she had gathered and of her surroundings, building an archive and sonic material to work with. From her mid-teens she had learned to produce with Ableton and now she picked up the guitar, too, learning it autodidactically by playing around, creating sounds. At some point in the process, she realized it's okay to be lost for a while and by enduring the feeling, there's room for something new to grow, far off from any general idea of what home should mean. The album, over the course of ten tracks, traces these three phases of building a home in your head, realizing it's not a remedy, nor forever and coming to terms with it. You've grown in the process and the album is a guiding light for everyone who strives to do so, too.

The Italian duo describe the concept behind this collection as being "not about resetting, but about balancing. Refreshing means reconnecting with the present and with the future -- focusing on one's own way in order to prevent the flow from becoming automatic, uncontrolled, and without orientation. It is more a direction than a path." The four tracks on the 12" are hypnotic dives into a full spectrum of club music: the rhythms and sound design guiding the subconscious into visions of past, present and future intermingled, a reminder that all moments co-exist simultaneously.

MONONOKE APARt I/modular LP
Mononoke is a Berlin band founded by Fabian R?sch and Benjamin Geyer. Their musical passion is improvisation with a sound that moves between experimental electronic music, jazz, beat music and ambient. This LP combines two EPs which have been released on the Munich based label tunnel.visions, each on one side. APARt was created in the field of tension between spontaneous improvisation and careful studio work, marked by the lockdowns during covid and social isolation. It was precisely this physical separation that gave rise to a new experimental approach. Each track is a puzzle, whose individual pieces were put together, moved around, and placed in new contexts. Instead of jamming and rehearsing together, musical ideas were exchanged online so that they could be freely interpreted, altered and redesigned. Newly found vivid playfulness, fresh approaches and a tilt towards the unexpected marks these songs. Capturing moments in our lives full of challenges, developments and salvation. The same new and unusual process of working separately, shaped the subsequent second EP modular which followed the same working structure but with a new component: the modular synthesizer, which decisively reshapes the sound: a collection of analog textures, broken structures and a touch of raw intimacy.

PORCELAIN HAMMER Born For Years LP
Porcelain Hammer formed in 2018 for the purpose of expanding the direction of Ben Miller's multiphonic guitar work into a full ensemble. This new direction in Miller's music is the melding of art, psych, world and no-wave with lyrical hypnagogia. Miller plays a modified Gibson Kalamazoo that has an inverted neck pick-up over the first fret which is output, along with the bridge pickup, to stereo. Contact mics are placed on the body and headstock and are also split stereo. Yet when a string section and a rhythmic, idiosyncratic percussionist becomes part of the ensemble, what was once instrument perfection becomes a universal sound. This sound combines an understanding of popular music with modern composition to deliver a sound that is urgent and accessible without the dystopian elements destroying the composition in the process. The composition line makes it through the chaos only to meld into a new form as the song cycle progresses. Soliloquies travel through the movement issuing instruction and the violin and cello add high wire tension. Composition as an act of interpersonal communication yields a socialism that inspires generations of creativity. Ben Miller has accomplished this by welcoming violinist Mike Khoury, cellist Deanna McMullen Lee, and drummer Mike List to join him in this creating this sound. Modern life influences isolation. This sound does the opposite. It shows how music can bring together while still exploring the reaches of experimentation but still show a reverence for popularity done differently.

FELLAHIN Live at Space Mountain LP
The word "Fellahin" is derived from the Arabic for tiller or cultivator. Fellahin, as a group, is a violin, wind, and percussion format for violinist Mike Khoury. For Live at Space Mountain, Khoury travelled to Miami to work with Kenny Millions (Keshavan Maslak) on clarinet and guitar and Steve Bristol on percussion. These long format live pieces allow for cultivation and exploration of the possibilities in improvisation. The evasive moment where improvisation develops into something else. It is fleeting, but the desire to attain it is effervescent. That enthusiasm is complicated by time and the oppression of pursuing artistic endeavors, but it may not be indicative of a weathering of the soul. These experiences make the artists uniquely qualified to handle these moments -- a tip of the hat, as if hope is a strategy. Khoury is best known for his work as a soloist, in duet with percussionist Ben Hall and dancer/choreographer Leyya Tawil. Former Detroiter, Kenny Millions (aka Keshavan Maslak), is a free music veteran having led groups with John Lindberg, Sonny Murray, and a litany of downtown stalwarts like Phillip Glass, Rhys Chatham and Laurie Anderson. Steve Bristol is one of Miami's best kept secrets. A stunning percussionist and pianist, Bristol is also a producer known for his work with Kool Keith having produced the last session of proto filthy rap, Blowfly, with a cast of free jazz giants. Space Mountain may be terrifying, but that fear compels the listener to seek out other possibilities, some of which are created only if you cultivate them for yourself.

KHOURY/SEHNAOUI/YASSIN TAQATO3 LP
This is improvised sound that is based in the heritage and the heart of Mike Khoury (violin), Sharif Sehnaoui (guitar, percussion, bouzouki) and Raed Yassin (bass). TAQATO3 was recorded live with no overdubs in Bustrous Palace in Beirut, still surviving despite a civil war, foreign incursion, and the 2020 Beirut harbor explosion. In 2018, Khoury, Sehnaoui, and Yassin found themselves together following the Irtijal Festival. TAQATO3 is executed at the very precipice of improvisation but captures the spirit of the palace and the essence of the moment. The sonics fill the recording. It seems almost in unison. The tension is palpable, but the pieces seem to breathe with an intensity that writhes with composure. This exchange occurs between the musicians and the space. It doesn't seem hyperbolic to suggest that a collective consciousness of the people of Beirut can be heard in these pieces. Khoury, who is also featured on Porcelain Hammer's Born For Years, and Fellahin's Live at Space Mountain, has worked in duet with percussionist Ben Hall and dancer choreographer Leyya Tawil. Sehnaoui is one of the principals behind Beirut's long-running Irtijal Festival of Improvised Music and is a key member of A-Trio with Yassin and trumpeter Mazen Kerbaj and the ensemble Karkhana. Yassin is a bassist and visual artist. His work often examines narratives within a collective context. He is currently based in Berlin where he has his art practice and production company. In absolute terms, all improvisation is based upon previous endeavor, TAQATO3 is a moment or clarity for and between each musician on this masterful recording.

RUEHLEN, CECYL Oozetones/Fleshscapes LP
A chaotic vortex of inner worlds falling into disarray, Oozetones/Fleshscapes reflects a decade long refinement in Cecyl Ruehlen's idiosyncratic approach to improvising, installation, and sound engineering as a method of multifaceted composition. An exercise in mania, the album is saturated with dense fields of phantom soundings, sonic toilet flushes, dripping mouths, screaming horns, earworms, and ego-dissolving scattershot. The ooze, or the psychic warbling that underlies all of Nature, takes shape, or perhaps deforms, through the erosion of background and foreground, evading category through sudden escapes past elusive doorways, crushing gates, flickering envelopes, and walls of thought. The slippages that lead the ear to moments where quietude enters the body are equally as unsettling and pulse with nervous rapture. Cecyl Ruehlen (b. 1984) is an intermedia artist, composer, educator and curator. While he has led a relatively nomadic life across the US, Ruehlen has made his home in the Sonoran Desert, morphing iterative actions, collaborative projects, and varying recording processes into a topological contortion with an array of chimeric instruments and extraterritorial sound forms. His forensic mode of composing is guided by deep listening and meteoric super-impositions that distort, abstract, decompose and explode internal and salvaged materials, shaping a practice that is as much drifting through temporary obsessions as it is devotional and steadfast in study. His prolific and heavily collaborative art life has placed him as a central node of underground and experimental scenes in the western United States in recent years, pouring forth countless albums, performance ventures, shifting monikers, and cultural synergies, largely through his operating of a label, DIY spaces, teaching, and touring sporadically since the late '00s.

MONYPENY AND KEVIN CORCORAN, DEREK Abacomancy LP
Abacomancy (defined as "a form of divination based on the interpretation of the patterns in dust, dirt, silt, or sand") is the first record by the duo of Derek Monypeny and Kevin Corcoran. Monypeny and Corcoran have a decades-long personal and musical relationship; they played in the free-improv trio DMPH with the late tenor saxophonist Chad Stockdale, who released a 7-inch on Stockdale's Weird Forest label in 2010. Abacomancy is the result of a one-day recording session in Monypeny's adopted town of Joshua Tree, CA in the spring of 2022. Entirely improvised, the tracks display an impressively wide variety of approaches/moods/emotions: from blistering Sharrockian skronk (Part One) to meditative Eastern-influenced shimmer (Part Three, which features Monypeny on shahi baaja), to dark, foreboding long-form drone (Part Five). There's a remarkable synergy at work here; particularly impressive is Corcoran's highly sympathetic and textural playing on the quieter, more drone-based tracks. Monypeny, whose free-improv guitar playing has not been much documented on record, presents a gamut of sounds and dynamics, taking Abacomancy far beyond a typical document of a high-energy/free-blowing session. Shortly after the Abacomancy recording session, Corcoran returned to the Mojave Desert to make location sound recordings and photographs while staying in an off-the-grid research cabin. Following lines etched in the land by atmospheric forces and by traces of human infrastructure, Corcoran took a series of walks to observe and immerse in the desert landscape. Mojave Traces, a photographic book included with Abacomancy, collects compositions found in the weathered scatter of stratigraphic surfaces and the eerie stillness of industrial and agricultural disuse in expansive spaces.

WILLIAMS JR. AND DEREK MONYPENY, TURNER Drueling LP
Drueling is the first meeting of Turner Williams Jr. and Derek Monypeny, two American pickers of the avant underground known for their deep excursions on the shahi baaja, a 15-string electric keyboardzither of modern Indo-Japanese origin. Drueling is a dialectic of twang. Williams hails from the American South and Monypeny from the Southwest. Country fried humid misterioso meets bone-dry waveforms stretching skyward. These sessions occurred in Marseille, France on a limestone crest above the Mediterranean, evening and morning in early Spring. Following a long correspondence, Monypeny met Williams at his adopted home under crackling powerlines and looming electrical towers. Nominally a duo record, this slab presents the dissolve and dialogue of 30 strings blurring into one, suggesting the translucent blur of '60s Cale/Conrad and the randomized grace of Oval tripping over Chet Atkins on a peyote toot with Jerry Reed or Les Paul. Their wide open third-minded automatism honors the history of their instruments with a heavy dose of subversion in Sun City Girl's anti-tradition of respectful disrespect. Who wants to hear a couple of yankee corndogs playing "proper" shahi baaja in 2025? Drueling marks the spot where sunblind stupor meets porchzorch faceoff and the pupils dilate into gaping maws that drool in stereo.

GHETTO BROTHERS Power-Fuerza LP
2026 repress. The Bronx in the 1970s, marked by the presence of notorious gangs, presented a complex and challenging urban landscape. Amidst the crumbling infrastructure and economic decline, neighborhoods bore the scars of disinvestment, reflected in abandoned buildings and neglected public spaces. The prevalence of street gangs, such as the Ghetto Brothers, contributed to an atmosphere of heightened tension and occasional violence. Graffiti adorned subway cars and buildings, expressing both social unrest and the vibrant creativity of the community. Despite the challenges, there was a resilient spirit among residents, evidenced by grassroots efforts to address social issues. The Bronx during this era was a dynamic yet tumultuous mix of cultural expression, social struggle, and the determined spirit of a community facing adversity. The Ghetto Brothers, originating from the Melendez family who moved from Puerto Rico to the South Bronx in the 1950s, faced challenges involving violence and crime. Despite this, Benjy, a key figure, directed the group towards community improvement. The Ghetto Brothers embraced music, crafting a potent, NYC-flavored musical fusion that caught the attention of record mogul Ismael Maisonave (Salsa Records). Their collaboration resulted in the recording of eight tracks in a single electrifying day at Manhattan's Fine Tone Studios, skillfully produced by Latin studio maestro Bobby Marin (Harvey Averne, La Lupe, Brooklyn Sounds). This musical odyssey showcases the band's ability to seamlessly blend genres, creating a NYC-flavored stew that captivates listeners with its authenticity. The hypnotic rhythms, infectious guitar riffs, and impassioned vocals reflect the Ghetto Brothers' commitment to expressing their unique experiences and uplifting their community through the universal language of music. Power-Fuerza is not just an album; it's a sonic testament to the Ghetto Brothers' fusion of resilience, cultural richness, and musical innovation. Each track is a vibrant tapestry, weaving together the raw energy of the South Bronx streets and the soulful melodies born from the trio's Puerto Rican heritage. Embrace the timeless resonance of the Ghetto Brothers' Power-Fuerza, one of the best Latin funk albums ever recorded.

J DILLA Dillatronic 2LP
2026 repress. "The late, great J Dilla is rightly celebrated as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time, in part because his ear for music was so diverse and expansive. As Dilla's mother Ma Dukes explains, 'He didn't come with a limited capacity, and real producers produce, produce, and produce. There are no formats for genius workers...just non-stop creations.' Now, a fresh batch of those creations will be made available to the world for the first time, in the form of the latest official J Dilla release, Dillatronic. Presented by Ma Dukes and compiled by DJs Alien Villainz (fellow Detroit natives who worked closely with Dilla), Dillatronic contains over 40 rare instrumentals that showcase Dilla's undeniable electronic influences. J Dilla's music was impacted by the diverse musical history of Detroit -- the birthplace of techno and one of the most important cities in the history of electronic music. 'You can hear it in songs like 'Raise It Up' for Slum Village or 'Make It Hurt' for Busta Rhymes,' says Young RJ (Dilla's prot?g? and member of Slum Village). 'The Detroit influence is part of what gave him an edge in production.' With today's music sounding more electronic than ever, Dillatronic has a shockingly contemporary feel. 'These tracks are still ahead of their time sonically,' explains RJ. 'The things producers are doing now, Dilla did that 15 years ago.'"

THOMAS & XT, PAT Strata, Act (Joy Contemporary) 2CD
Pianist Pat Thomas, saxophonist Seymour Wright, and drummer Paul Abbott deliver a remarkable set of new music, each, re-imagining improvisation and synthetic ideas with acoustic and electronic tools. This monumental new suite Strata, Act (Joy Contemporary) released by We Jazz Records includes music recorded live in London and Zurich in summer 2023. Five tracks in total. complex, iterative whole that makes ideas live -- back into tradition/s and out, on, into an infinite future. In 2018 the trio recorded a remarkable 80-minute tribute to the late Cecil Taylor "Akisakila"/Attitudes of Preparation (Mountains, Oceans, Trees) vigorously re-visiting his 1973 Tokyo trio Akisakila recording. Re-convening five years later to celebrate that release they imagined a-new, expanding that attitude to history through connected lenses of the traditions of British electro-acoustic-mystery: from the live electronics of Tony Oxley's February Papers or Howard Riley's Synopsis, to Leviticus' Burial and Splash's Babylon, plus of course Derek Bailey's Domestic Jungle, and now up to their overlapping global-temporal experiments with, between them, Mark Fell, Anne Gills and RPBoo. Captured at London's Cafe OTO, the LP hears Thomas and XT expand their acoustic trio each with liquid (dry and wet) electronics, as real and imagined instrumentation. There are sounds of keys, sticks, reeds, pedals, (i)pads, plug-ins, body and breath and their potentials. There is also the unique energy, space and feel of OTO a sui generis ecology in which all three musicians have worked and learned since its doors opened in 2008. The 2CD takes its sub-title from the great drummer, and live electrician, Tony Oxley (also on playing with Cecil). Here the music grows across two nights (one per disc), synthetic, bionic expanding, evaporating, electric, charging through time in ways that renders "genre" indistinguishable, irrelevant and even impossible. This set is a multi-format document of some of the most adventurous, rare (and radical) creative musicians working today. Electronic-and-acoustic, real and imaginary, sounds, times, scales and proportions that extends out of and collapses into musical space in dialogue with past and future.

FAIRUZ Wahdon LP
2026 restock. Wewantsounds continues to pursue its exploration of great Lebanese music with the reissue of Wahdon, released in 1978 by legendary Middle Eastern diva Fairuz and recorded during the Abu Ali sessions (WWSLP 021LP). The album includes the Lebanese dancefloor cult classic, "Al Bostah". 1978 was a turning point for the Lebanese diva. The '70s had seen her rise as an international star, playing sold out concerts in the US and in Europe, and appearing on national TV in France. She had had a long-lasting artistic collaboration with her husband Assi Rahbani and his brother Elias (aka The Rahbani Brothers) who, together, had penned most of the singer's classics. In 1978, Assi who had suffered a brain hemorrhage in 1972 got weaker and the collaboration finally ended (together with their personal relationship). Their 22-year-old son Ziad took over Fairuz's musical reins and set to work on their first album together, Wahdon ("Alone"), serving as her mother's producer, composer and musical director. Wahdon typifies this key moment in Fairuz's career when she switched from traditional to more modern arrangements. The first side of the album encapsulates the more traditional side of the singer with such mesmerizing songs as "Habaitak Ta Neseet Al Naoum" (I Loved You So Much I Forgot To Sleep) or "Ana Indi Haneen" (I'm Nostalgic), filled with gorgeous Arabic strings and percussion. The second side though is a whole different affair. Recorded in Athens at the EMI Greece studio at the same time as the Abu Ali sessions, the two long tracks brings a hipper, contemporary funk and disco feel that has made the album such a collector's item with DJs and diggers around the world. Clocking at almost nine minutes "Al Bostah" (The Bus) tells the story a woman in love remembering a bus journey with her lover under a scorching heat, enhanced by an hypnotic up-tempo funkified disco beat, while "Wahdon" brings a slower and jazzier underlay to Fairuz's superb singing. These tracks shocked some of the diva's fans at the time but they've since passed the test of time and have become highly sought after. Whadon has since become both a classic Fairuz album and a cult Ziad Rahbani production that Wewantsounds is delighted to bring to a wider audience for the first time.

MYSTERY KINDAICHI BAND, THE The Adventures of Kindaichi Kosuke LP
2026 repress; LP version. Obi; includes four-page insert. Wewantsounds present the first official release outside of Japan for The Mystery Kindaichi Band's The Adventures of Kindaichi Kosuke, originally released in 1977. The "imaginary" soundtrack to the cult detective book series by writer Seishi Yokomizo is on many DJ want-lists. Arranged by soundtrack master Kentaro Haneda and featuring a mysterious group of the best '70s Japanese Funk musicians, the album is pure undiluted disco funk. Writer Seishi Yokomizo is an institution in Japan. He could be compared to Agatha Christie with his series of novels based on the adventures of detective Kosuke Kindaichi. The fictional character was born in 1946 with Yokomizo's first novel in the series and solved mysteries until the late '70s under Yokomizo's pen before the death of the writer in 1981. Yokomizo's novels have been a prime source for film and TV scenarios, so when, in 1977, Japanese label King Records decided to record a concept album based on the Kindaichi novels, it made complete sense. The writer was slightly surprised though. The concept album was arranged by pianist Kentaro Haneda, a key TV and film composer who has worked on many anime films and is also famous outside of Japan for composing the music for the video game Wizardry. For the album, he assembled a supergroup of some of the best Tokyo funk and city pop musicians. The long list includes jazz pianist Hideo Ichikawa who played on the 1971 Joe Henderson In Japan album, drummer Jun Moriya, who is on Joe Hisaichi's cult Wonder City Orchestra album (1982), percussionist Tadaomi Anai who played with disco singer Eri Ohno, trumpeter Koji Hadori who's featured on Haruomi Hosono's Pacific album (1978). Also present on the album are saxophonist Takeru Muraoka who plays on many Tatsuro Yamashita cult albums including For You (1982) and Spacy (1977), Kimiko Yamauchi (koto) who's on Akiko Yano's landmark 1976 album Japanese Girl (WWSCD 017CD/WWSLP 017LP), and last but not least, French hornist Koji Yamaguchi who plays on Yazuaki Shimizu's Kakashi (1982). Together they lay the funk on ten instrumentals filled with pure disco and funk breakbeats, making the album one of the highly-coveted Japanese LPs on international cratedigger scene. Remastered from the original tapes. Faithfully reproduced original artwork; Artwork by renowned illustrator Ichibun Sugimoto. New introduction by Anton Spice.

GRAUZONE Eisbar 12"
2026 restock. WRWTFWW Records announce the official reissue of Grauzone's essential 1981 maxi single with timeless classic "Eisb?r", proto-techno beast "FILM 2", and romantic synth ballad "Ich Lieb Sie", just in time for the 40th anniversary of the Swiss band's formation. "Ich m?chte ein Eisb?r sein?" written by Martin Eicher after a nightmare in which he saw talking polar bears on the walls, and with music by the Grauzone crew consisting of Martin and his brother Stephan Eicher, Marco Repetto, Christian "GT" Tr?ssel, and Claudine Chirac (on saxophone), "Eisb?r" is the most recognizable title from the band, a sublime mix of ingredients reflecting the transitional era it comes from -- the raw energy of punk music still palpable, combined with the audacity of early electronics, the warm groove of a disco gem, beautifully fragile lyrics, and one of the best basslines ever. It became a mega hit, totally unplanned, but how could you resist such a track? "FILM 2" is the ultimate B-side monster, a menacing all-instrumental pre-techno masterpiece, slowly building to a magnetizing frenzy. An instant underground favorite, it was famously heard played at both speeds depending on the scenes and DJs you were frequenting, 45rpm as it was first intended, and 33rpm for the cosmic experience. The maxi single ends with "Ich Lieb Sie", a synth-pop meets doo-wop ballad, a true love song oozing with innocence -- simple, stylish, and just right. At the crossroads of post-punk, new wave, pop, and electronic experimentation, the Eisb?r maxi offers three songs that are technically different but hold the same spirit, the perfect embodiment of Grauzone's music -- wild, unpredictable, and youthful, yet sophisticated, catchy, and ingenious. The magic recipe for the good stuff. Stephan Eicher went on to be, arguably, the most successful Swiss musician ever, with an international career extending from pop chanson to experimental escapades and collaborations with Moondog, artists Sophie Calle and John Armleder, and author Martin Suter among many other luminaries. Marco Repetto flourished as a techno and ambient producer, releasing multiple projects including releases on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label. Grauzone and WRWTFWW will continue to collaborate on the band's 40th anniversary reissue campaign, with numerous projects planned for the year, including a vast selection of music, visuals, and literature never available before. Sourced from the original reels; cut at 45rpm; Includes iconic artwork on a 350gsm sleeve.

AUS ISODA Interwoven CD

Recorded between Hachijo Island and Tokyo, Interwoven distills two visionary voices of Japanese ambient and electronic music into a single breath of feather-light and quietly luminous meditative sound. Isoda is a revered figure of New-age and environmental music whose work on Oscilation Circuit -- S?rie R?flexion 1 (originally released on famed label Sound Process) has long attained mythic status. He composes, notably with harp and wind instruments, produces contemporary music and video game scores, and crafts his very own brand of ambient music from the volcanic island of Hachijo-jima. Tokyo-based electronic composer and synth master aus is known for tender, melody-driven soundscapes. From the two artists comes a dialogue suspended between land and sea, bridging the generation gap and the physical distance between them. What began as a series of sketches -- impressions of water, islands, and shifting light -- gradually evolved into an exchange without explanation, a correspondence of sound that dissolved boundaries. In that anonymity, both artists discovered an uncommon freedom: a place where each could move lightly and intuitively, without expectation. The music drifts with a gentle, intuitive grace: lingering piano, soft cinematic synths, and field recordings that unfold like whispered recollections, while flute and saxophone lines pass through like occasional breezes -- a human presence felt as warmth more than form. Interwoven is music for those who cherish stillness and the delicate beauty of the everyday. It's music for admirers of Satoshi Ashikawa, Midori Takada, Satsuki Shibano, Hiroshi Yoshimura, Takashi Kokubo, Brian Eno, and all who seek a quiet refuge in sound.
